I think celaph is the day 2 kill unless cop comes back with a guilty and claims it. otherwise yea celaph is most likely day 2 death. im concerned with how having a runaway consensus death will impact thread quality day two. whether it will create a stale environment of apathy or if it will just ultimately be something useful that results in a flip we want to see. either way my confidence level in celaph flipping scum is far lower now than it was late day 1

What made you go from not liking the assumption that celaph is scum to condemning him to death D2 in the course of a page?

he’s playing literal orders of magnitude better this game than he has in his past few town games. that’s what changed.

he likely just needed a bit of paternal structure and encouragement

as for Chaqa, unclear if this is at all relevant to the ongoing discussion, and it’s kind of lame out-of-game stuff, but he’s had reasonable RL excuses to be less involved and has chosen not to take them, which I think is somewhat town-indicative for him.

that’s not to say that taking them would have been alignment-indicative either way, but I don’t think he’s nearly as motivated to bother with coming back and trying to solve if he’s mafia.

Chaqa, I think snowy’s original point was that you might have acted as you did EOD in the hopes that a generic audience member would react as Lamp did to your actions—and that Lamp was incidentally the person who had the reaction—not that you set out to “get” Lamp, specifically, that way.

his inquiry would have been the same if Sabi or brain or whoever had asked the question Lamp did.

I also don’t specifically read snowy’s comment as an accusation but rather as caution to a new albeit sharp player not to put too much stock into “why would a mafia do X” inquiry. though if snowy wishes to affirm otherwise don’t let me interfere.

I do not accept the premise of your question, I voted for BusinessLamp as my preferred wagon 5 hours before EOD. When BusinessLamp was not a possibility in the last hour, I voted for TFB on snowy's recommendation. 43 seconds before EOD, with the vote tied, I voted for Kakarroto because I thought he was marginally more likely to be mafia than celaph. I did not consider TFB's vote when making that decision, since I did not know TFB's alignment.

I was arguing the alacrity being utilized to force through a townread on someone who had been under scrutiny for admittedly all the wrong talking points day one but the question about business lamp being town is being settled before our eyes anyway so I will rest my case on the subject. I do think the bigger issue is Eden blanketing through a townread with no stated reason and expecting us to just eat it and swallow it. he did this with ghug as well.
