there are plenty of level headed folks who pushed both cel and kak who can easily just be collectively wrong on both instances - and this includes myself. I reread celaph and found a number of posts that dont raise any alarms at all

not every post a mafia makes raises alarms. in fact I would wager that celaph’s style inherently lends itself to not raising alarms. rather he’s going to be a wallflower and disappear for stretches, say things that sound decent enough but are missing the bite of critical analysis that defines town celaph’s game. town celaph isn’t a high volume poster but is probably the highest quality poster for his post count in a given game, or close to it.

and he doesn’t HAVE to be mafia, but it’s a rather decent shot. as snowy pointed out, wagonomics really look bad for him in light of Kak’s flip.

it’s certainly true that not everybody who was reticent to hang Kak or celaph is mafia. but there ARE four of them out there to find, and kicking the tires in that group is the best way to do it.

I take issue with how cut and dry you seem to think everything is. I cant tell if you actually think the game is just very easy or if youre just totally full of crap

it might be very easy or I/we might be way off base. but there’s only one way to know. so I am going to push my suspects with confidence and try to find out.

if 5-9 townies had bothered to engage with my analysis of Kak’s posts and why he was clearly (in my mind anyway) town, maybe we flip celaph d1 and we’re having a very different conversation.

I’m confused why you apparently seem to think I shouldn’t be pushing to kill celaph here. I’ve made my case for why we should, he was wagon #2 on what’s highly likely to be a revealing day 1, there are some fantastic leads to follow if I’m right.

I think celaph is the day 2 kill unless cop comes back with a guilty and claims it. otherwise yea celaph is most likely day 2 death. im concerned with how having a runaway consensus death will impact thread quality day two. whether it will create a stale environment of apathy or if it will just ultimately be something useful that results in a flip we want to see. either way my confidence level in celaph flipping scum is far lower now than it was late day 1

I highly doubt all of them are scum and would hinge on cel's alignment. I do see a lot on linking between TFB and smowy at a very rough surface level

Of those four the ones I sus the most are:

The first part is about nightkills, right? If so I would agree - NK active people w/ PR potential and miskill easy miskill targets is scum MO to a tee.

So this is why I'm generally a little suspicious of people who are pushing the obvious miskills like when people push Bona (see last game)

I don't think celaph fits the bill of "obvious miskill" which is why the suspicion on him is more valid and reaosnable

1. I do this all the time regardless of alignment, people always say it's scummy but it really isn't. Like one time I got daykilled because I had to go to the grocery store around the phase shift.
