My concern then, is, how often do people just vote out low posters and does low posting actually have a decent track record for finding scum? Or is it just a good way of creating "good chat" and generally gathering more D1 info for town to reference in the future?

imo just go for it, act hyper confident in every whim or thought you have and pursue them to the fullest degree. it's a game and more fun that way. if you're wrong that's okay. if you're right then you get bragging rights for the rest of your life. plus, as long as there is some basis to your thoughts, it helps prod discussion.

and in my experience of one (1) game here it was talked about a bit but no one ever voted off lurkers or low posters. which led to a lackluster endgame kinda. no idea on stats

imo just go for it, act hyper confident in every whim or thought you have and pursue them to the fullest degree. it's a game and more fun that way. if you're wrong that's okay. if you're right then you get bragging rights for the rest of your life. plus, as long as there is some basis to your thoughts, it helps prod discussion.

this is the only thing of substance Kak has posted. I actually thought it was townie… I’ve taken the liberty of putting the things that jumped out to me in boldface. and underlined the big one. it would be nice to see why the people who are voting for him feel otherwise:

-) Eden and brainbomb - that dynamic felt a bit strange. Eden started there feeling a bit forced, it kinda felt like an early distancing move from two players of mafia. It remained strong for a few pages, though with the latest posts it doesn’t feel as strange and forced, maybe just a hiccup start. brainbomb leaving and then coming back before his own set time seems at first bad, but as mafia brain wouldn’t break his word so easily, would he? Maybe just a wrong blip, but if any one of those two turns out to be mafia, check the other one too.

-) Jamie and sabi - it might be just a big TvT argument but something tells me there is something wrong here. I really enjoyed playing with Jamie last game (even when I was forced to lie to you there, but even if you both would have caught me it was really enjoyable playing with you then - to be fair most of it was Donny’s preparation so I just tried to drive it home - anyway, what wanted I talk about … ah right) and this doesn’t feel as nice, but I kinda feel that comes from the influence from sabi. The first though I had there was, like above, that might be a mafia-mafia situation but I don’t get the overall tone from Jamie here. Maybe sabi is trying to rile up Jamie to have reason to maf-read him … or I’m completely misreading the situation because (as we know from my last game) I’m an ‘expert’ in human relations.

-) maniac - said that he doesn’t like eden’s posts (due to ‘subtlety and brevity’ of his posts if I’m not wrong?) but votes the same target (brainbomb) … is this a mafia-duo trying to distance from each other but voting to ‘guide’ town to vote for someone to a certain degree? Maybe even a mafia-trio throwing brain under the bus (hah … unintended) and get credit for it?

this stuff just screams town paranoia to me. if it’s in Kak’s mafia wheelhouse then it’s not exonerating I suppose, but I thought I remembered Kak presenting more controlled and conventional ideas when he was mafia.

That’s why we hunt. To find scum. You shoved two seprate wagons to the front and coasted for about 12 hours on it. It’s not the work or lack thereof, it’s more the target selection. Sabi was already wavering prior to your focus. As for me, well since I’m the only conftown at this early stage of the game to me, I know your wrong, it’s how cherry picked it was, with other lurks doing less with less content and how aggressively I felt you were shoving.

And circling back around to white knight the avalache you took part in starting is worth no cred to me.
