We appear to have opposite reads on almost everyoneFoxcastle wrote: ↑Thu Aug 09, 2018 8:47 pmBismarckAlive: Lurking is shirking, and I'm usually down for lynch-a-lurk.
Bo_sox48: I tend to think Town, in no small part for how he reacted at the very last minute to his wagon almost winning.
Bozo: Always a hard one to read for me, he focuses on mechanics a lot. I think he has made a few good posts. He was strongly scumreading Ezio, which makes me wonder about the others on that wagon (Xorxes, Ghugh, Squigs), and whether we think there were no scum who were eager to get rid of Ezio.
Brainbomb: Town (or else will be exposed by the real Gamora).
ChippeRock: Town, his townslips have been convincing to me.
Damo666: Lean Town.
Dargorygel: Lean scum, would lynch again. (I don't give his swan song as much credit as Bo's because it came with time that it might have given some people enough doubt to move off him.)
DoubtingThomas: Lean Town.
Flash2015: Lean Scum, a quick skim of his ISO does not give me confidence he is helping town. (Could be SK.)
Ghug: Lean Town (Could be SK.)
Hellenic Riot: Looks pretty towny, but that is greatly assisted by his having not been around for nearly the whole first day. He's a smart player and if he was following along, it would be easy to show up last minute and look good if he'd been prepping for it.
Jamiet: Lean Town, I guess. Deserves a closer look, as usual.
ND: Lean scum. I recall that he's usually reticent, but I don't recall him being so unwilling to provide
Rdrivera: I have this theory that when Rdrivera is getting a lot of pressure for what looks like no reason (to me), he's town, and when he's not (like now), he's scum. He looks pretty townie. But I admired how townie he looked last game, too. (Could be SK.)
Snowy: Lean scum, this looks like a different Snowy than I've seen in past games, and I'd think it's a good chance it's scummy.
Squigs: Probably Town
Vecna: Probably Town.
Worcej: Town (unless exposed by doc counterclaim)
Xorxes: Probably Town.
Y2K: Unsure. I was put off by his jumping around a lot with his vote, but I think that's more town indicative in general. Is he always this confident?
Yavuz: Always a little hard to read. Some of his earlier play made me think scum, but some of his later posts look more townie, I think. It's hard to say, and the problem with Yavuz is that I'm always curious to see how he flips, and my curiosity is not much of an indicator of his alignment.

Both for game reasons and personal reasons, I volunteer ghug as tribute.
Re: MAFIA XXXVIII: INFINITY WAR

How have you reached the conclusion that I was openly speaking as scum?
##VOTE bo

Re: MAFIA XXXVIII: INFINITY WAR
Why do you find it suspicious to make a late vote change to avoid a likely town lynch? I suspect the scum were not changing their vote to avoid drawing attention to themselves.Hellenic Riot wrote: ↑Thu Aug 09, 2018 8:53 pmSo during D1; Vecna, Jamie, and rdrivera all mentioned the 2 vote lead requirement that was needed to prevent an SK tie. Neither Vecna nor Jamie made any late vote changes, but rdrivera changed from y2k to darg with half hour to go. He then stayed around, but didn't move his vote again to attempt to prevent a tie (despite bringing the possibility up). Doesn't look great - as if he could see it coming and didn't care.
Bo, darg, xorxes, bozo, and Chip all made very late vote switches (or tried, in the case of xorxes). Bo and darg sort of make sense as wagons, though I find it incredibly convenient that they ended up both avoiding the lynch despite bo telling darg to vote him (instead of, say, snowy, that bo was voting). Why didn't you ask darg to vote Snowy with you bo? Or rather, ask him to stay on Snowy?
xorxes and bozo have both been exceedingly underwhelming and their halfassed day end doesn't look for either. Chip is patent town regardless of it. I certainly can see there being at least one scum in xorxes/bozo.
Re: MAFIA XXXVIII: INFINITY WAR
Your reads often change more quickly than I can comment on them, Brain
I try not to give into OMGUS, but I recall that I was being pressured after pushing Worcej, and Yav showed up to vote me, and so I gave my read of him while I was thinking about him. I think Bo is making a leap on claiming I was upset, or claiming that there was a connection to Squigs. I don't think he's pursued it.
An explanation if he's scum is that I was being scumread for pushing Worcej, but Bo is good enough to know that it was too early in the day to actually get me lynched and that it would eventually dissipate as the moment passed. So he was setting up not just the next potential wagon, but a chain of wagons so that town could go after any of the three of us and even when the first flipped town, you could still go after the other two.
I've been townreading Bo, some of that is for his "final" post before (not) being lynched, which I interpret as Townie. But I need to look over his Day One more.
Ghug and HR are good players, and they look like town to me. My scum theory on HR (that he showed up late to mostly avoid leaving a record on Day One, when scum are most vulnerable) is unsubstantiated speculation, I wouldn't vote for him at this point without something actually scummy to point to.
I don't have much of an opinion on Flash, he's around but hasn't said anything I particularly noticed, and that makes me suspicious. I'm trying to recall if he did this last game, too, but I was scum then and so my perception of the other players is tinged, but I think he did.
Yav is Yav, and I don't know what to think. He looked scummier to me early on, but has come around to be more of his usual townie self. So I don't know.

Oh why did they go and kill Vecna just when I'd decided to stop biting his ankles?
Aaarrrggghhh!

Re: MAFIA XXXVIII: INFINITY WAR
Perhaps the thing to do is expose the a player's role with the Mind Stone and then shoot someone after that... Maybe we should give it 24 hours so that we can gauge reactions.
Re: MAFIA XXXVIII: INFINITY WAR
From experience, this usually leads to everyone waiting for the info to come out.
