slight sus on brainbomb for his progression of responses RE: questions about his reaction to snowy’s comment. I emphasize slight because it’s not a lot in the big scheme of things, but we need to start somewhere.

- initial reactions to snowy’s random dig are a bit much. to me, he looks very much like he wants to seem helpful and high-minded, which is good if true, but in context it’s just out of place as there’s not any productive ground to be reached there. it looks less like townie helpful high-mindedness and more like mafia trying to appear as such.

- upon some questioning he seems confused about his own emotional reaction to the comment. he says he “takes such a consideration fairly harshly even in jest, especially if unwarranted and unnecessary,” then three minutes later he “find[s] it amusing.” it’s somewhat common for mafia who are just starting to get established in a thread to misread the emotional tone of the room while attempting to get going, especially if it’s been a while since they played mafia-sided. to that end,
brainbomb: when was the last time you played mafia-sided in any meta (not just webdip)?

If you can't understand why someone is doing something, look at the consequences of their actions, whatever they might be, and then infer the motivations from their consequences.
