Re: M72 - “Echoes of Evelyn” - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Chp. 8
Evelyn pulled her hand up to protect her face as best she could. The snow pelted around her hand, every particle felt like a tiny pin stabbing her exposed skin. She looked back and saw the rest of the group doing the same thing. Their legs trudged forward, no longer lifting and placing their feet - but instead shuffling forward through the waist high snow. They had traveled for days to reach the mountain and she knew they could not turn back now. The dragons nested near the peaks, and that was their best chance to catch one off guard. She turned back around and continued to trudge ahead.
“How much farther,” someone shouted from the back. They were only a stone throw away, but Evelyn could barely hear the words over the swirling wind.
“Not far,” yelled Mara. “If we find cover, we will take it and wait for the weather to die down.”
Evelyn continued on, allowing her mind to wander away from the immediate misery. She watched her two Echoes walk beside her, their blue forms carrying supplies up the mountain like pack mules. In fact, she thought, a couple of mules wouldn’t be a bad thing to have stashed away. She had gotten used to her Echoes after using them daily. The uneasiness of being surrounded by those she had killed had evaporated in the several months of working with the resistance and with her magic. She still hated the killing but began to view the Echoes as almost a blessing. At least some good would come out of violence and death. Unfortunately, The Lady of Power had used her powers to turn senseless death into more death…
Evelyn broke out of her daydream when she spotted a cave through the blizzard.
“Shelter! Follow me.”
She quickened her pace and willed her Echoes farther ahead - their forms gliding through the snow. She looked back and saw Kasia behind her and flashed her a thumbs up.
Then, the world got dark - very dark. Evelyn spun her head around, but in a moment the sunlight returned. It was a shadow now moving across the face of the mountain.
Evelyn looked up and saw it. She had heard stories of dragons of course, and knew they existed, but they certainly did not do the creatures justice. It was larger than Evelyn expected, claws the size of horses. Its bony frame a dark gray, scales covering the body and wings. It was gliding away, well above them when it shrieked. The sound was deafening.
Then came another sound. Evelyn looked up the mountain and saw the source - snow was rushing towards them from atop the mountain.
“Hurry!” she yelled as she ran as quickly as she could. Her heart pounded as she pushed through the snow towards the cave. She finally reached the entrance and turned back to help the others. Kasia followed, then Mara. The others were trickling in. Only Ren was left. He rushed towards the entrance, but then disappeared - replaced by a rushing torrent of snow and rock…

Nobody on the HR wagon was around to move, so me voting rdr would just result in a tie. Can we get gold tomorrow?

The good thing now is that any kill will be informative.

RIP HR. You are probably blaming me in God QT and I deserve.
I was hoping to be dead now, I have been lazy this game and I am an easy miskill later.

Shit....I had really thought HR would be GF.
I haven't read back, but that whole wagon wasn't online?
##Call GM - Is there no shot at changing EOD? This time clearly doesn't work for most.

Maybe better suited for after the game but changing eods might be an experiment to try out
Re: M72 - “Echoes of Evelyn” - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Yeah, let's not change it midgame. I would have missed pretty much every EoD if it had been at the usual hour.Donny Dude wrote: ↑Thu Feb 03, 2022 5:53 amYeah for me it overlaps with class weekdays.goldfinger0303 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 03, 2022 3:15 amShit....I had really thought HR would be GF.

Same. I'm usually that person who wakes up an hour after EoD.ghug wrote: ↑Thu Feb 03, 2022 6:14 amYeah, let's not change it midgame. Sorry HR, I was wrong about you.
Apologies I wasn't on at EoD but I said I couldn't be.
Thanks for not flipping me I guess.

Bob, rdr, damo, donny
Re: M72 - “Echoes of Evelyn” - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Oh well this is starting to go horribly wrong.
I think either Maniac or Chaqa is the GF.
I don't think scum would engineer a fake role block for a goon so I have down to the following:
Maniac ghug
Maniac Bob
Chaqa Maniac
Chaqa ghug
Chaqa Bob
Ghug Maniac
Ghug Bob
With the bottom 2 a bit less likely.
