You and ghug did not vote for celaph D1 and bussing D2 could have been celaph's idea. It would explain why he did so little to defend himself.Chaqa wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 2:18 amSeveral of us pointed out his scum play early in the game (I remember asking kgray if she also saw his scummy play) and I don't see a reason to do that as scum there. I'm more of a teammate defender early on. In fact, the game I won with celaph, Macca, and kgray (and someone else I think), kgray and I put a LOT of effort into protecting celaph and Macca to keep them for later on.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 2:16 amIn M60, ghug, Durga, and I all bussed summit D1, it could be a situation like that where all 4 remaining mafia ended on celaph. I did not have a strong read of celaph, but the way he was playing I could see the mafia assume his DK was inevitable and decide to bus him.Chaqa wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 2:07 am
That's fair, but I don't actually like to bus people when it isn't necessary (see the 1v11 game where I was hesitant to bus Damo). I don't think ghug does either. We had little reason (as scum) to save TFB and throw celaph out.
My roleblock and ghug's gambit should also be somewhat exonerating, but if you think we're potentially both scum I guess that makes sense.
It seems unlikely the two of us would flip and do the opposite to celaph here.

I at least responded to your posts. You were talking to a straw man.TheFlyingBoat wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 2:09 amI think bona is scum, but I think he is more mad with our argument than the state of the game. I found our argument enraging, at least.

Like you were so obstinate over the most blindly obvious things that people spelled out to you so often that it just can't be that you're town

Great work guys.
Having a re-read and the evidence that Celaph was scum was plane to see. Sorry I missed it

hello I am home and I made friends tonight omg. anyway. Uh. I don’t have revelations I’m sorry. I still trust kgray enough. gave her the two day promise. if it was scum v scum then yikes we’re all doomed, but i feel bad so I will give TFB the next day off from me aggressively campaigning lmao
Re: M72 - “Echoes of Evelyn” - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
Okay, I don't think deadreading is my strong suit, but here goes a celaph reread anyway.
Likes lamp.
Dislikes Donny "justifying his inactivity".
Hones in on my posts a lot. Also calls out kgray for something very specific. Antibuddying maybe?
Questions why he wasn't stated as a lurker in an arbitrary post.
Scumreads me.
Votes Donny when that was a thing.
Ends the day on me.
Preempts flum flipping town.
*cricket noises N2*
Townreads RHK.
Townreads goldie based on his Biggo McLong post.
Throws a bit of shade on kgray for being hedgy.
Weakens his Maniac townread.
Really townreads goldie based on his Biggo McLong post.
Conscious of buddying because I called him out for it?
Banters a lot with kgray, not sure what to make of it. Seems maybe a bit much to be scum-scum.
Votes for TFB, who was the obvious cw, and would make sense as a self preservation move.
Townreads blamp and kgray.
Dies.
Honestly, I'm not really sure what to make of all this. I already pointed out a high degree of interactions with kgray, me and goldie. Kgray makes sense, because they're best friends or something. Me makes sense because I got discussed abnormally highly, although he did home in on me very early. Goldie is a little more odd. It doesn't necessarily seem bad for goldie though.
Interestingly, he barely scumreads anyone other than me. Weakens his townreads but not much else. Perhaps not confident enough to make many scumreads? It does mean that there is very little to glean from his reads though.
I feel like I did nothing of worth here, but maybe it'll help someone else? Will try to do at least an rdr dig or a vca tonight, will probably leave catchup until tomorrow if I'm still alive.

Re: M72 - “Echoes of Evelyn” - Game Thread [HIDDEN]
My last recap post was so useful I feel obliged tondo it again! Here is the last hour of voting (at least, not the boring bits) with my comments.
Kgray shifts from celaph to TFB because TFB was being weird, where she stays for the rest of the day.
Ghug moves off celaph to start a Jamie train.
Goldfinger moves off celaph, where he apparently only was to appease ghug, to me, where he remains while not being very active at eod.
Blamp joins the TFB wagon.
Me and Durga both join ghug on the Jamie train.
Donny votes TFB.
TFB moves to celaph. Ghug ditches his train for celaph. Chaqa moves from TFB to celaph.
Jamie moves to me. For some reason.
Me and Durga both ditch the dead Jamie train, both for TFB.
HR, having been on celaph all day, moves to TFB, for some reason.
Demon and bozo, the final remnants of the Vecna wagon, move to celaph.
Donny moves from TFB to celaph, tying the votes. No reason stated.
Jamie and rdr both ditch me to move to celaph.
Celaph flips scum.
Funnily enough, both me and Durga moved to the same places, almost simultaneously.
The Vecna wagon, at its peak, was composed of Jamie, TFB, demon and bozo. Every single one of them moved to celaph. Everyone who moved off me also moved to celaph.
Which makes me wonder, why? Why was the movement so universally toward celaph? Were scum stacked on the Vecna wagon for bussing but then forced to change plans and bussed celaph instead? I almost feel like scum must have had some involvement to make the late movement so unanimous. I highly doubt all the scum would stack on TFB anyway. I predict there was some significant involvement from scum in celaph's death, primarily in the late movers.
Of course, VCA is not my strong suit, so I'd be interested to hear other people's theories on why the celaph wagon rocketed so fast. Also HR's vote doesn't look great.

We are 100% certain that Celaph was scum. Celaph has died and the GM has revealed Celaph's alignment.
To rationally argue, now that we have this knowledge of Celaph's alignment, that TFB would have been the "better" kill, you would not only have to be 100% certain that TFB is scum, but you would also have to be certain that TFB is a Mafia PR.
How can you possibly be certain, at this point in time, that TFB is a Mafia PR?
