yeah this is definitely a bad idea. For one, Durga and I mostly communicate over voice calls and have never been in a game environment together, so the mode of communication does not lend itself for me to have any more knowledge than others. Also, I have no idea how good at this in general I am lmao. No idea how solid my reads will be or if I'll be way way off.

not to mention, while i appreciate the trust, using anyone else as an indicator feels like it would just be a way to scapegoat/transfer blame to that person later on.

I thought that was towny from bona too, but last time we were scum together you white knighted bona in a similar way (which was very annoying, as I was trying to get him miskilled). I don't recall you ever doing that as town.

If you look at my two scum games on this site I never once posted I was town, while I regularly do in my town games.

Therefore, I activated my trust tell that I'm town and you can put me in as a lock.

this is interesting. it's setting something up that you can only use until your next scum game, especially now that you've articulated it this extensively. so this is probably the last time you can effectively use it as town. Alternatively, this game is the game that you deem important enough to wreck the streak with (potentially because your good pal BusinessLamp is playing, and because this game has been said to have an impressive player list). I don't think that's the case though-- this feels like the town-motivated culmination of this setup. You need to get the good payoff once and then also get the scum payoff for maximum utilization.

+5 town points for you Flum, full faith.

I don't like this post. In the current gamestate it's not inherently scummy, but a newer player that has emphasized trying to be careful in posting taking a blind leap of faith on a play that only has a solid payoff in limited and mostly scum motivated instances feel wrong.

how do you/can you isolate someone's posts

also just the adjustment to voting someone out 20 hours from now seems so fast-paced. very curious to see how that pressure to make a decision with such little info affects things. right now i'm team vote someone out who i have next to no read on because of little activity, but need to figure out how to isolate people's posts before starting to make that decision

Generating discussion on what? Memes? OOG factors? And Fox stated he was looking for laughs. You think that's towny, or do you think he was actually looking for some sort of alignment-indicative reactions? But mostly, you think Flum stating he's town is more town-motivated than two of the people on your list who actually provided some form of a read?

I don't know what OOG means, but yes, I thought it could be a type of reaction test. Fluminator saying he is town is a good indicator, certainly good enough for D1.

rdrivera's defense could be town motivated or a pocketing attempt, but I do not recall rdrivera ever trying to pocket me when he was mafia.

What did Demon do that made you change your mind, and do you not think he's just as likely to be attempting to pocket you as Rivera?

Maybe RHK qualifying his defense with saying it was low effort made me less likely to think it might be pocketing. Maybe RHK has mastered the art of pocketing with just enough criticism to alleviate the suspicion of pocketing.
