I won't always use a trust tell when I'm town. (Often I'll get by from tryharding and being useful)
But in this context I kind of want to be a useless lurksack, so it's the perfect game to conftown myself and get nightkilled without being a distraction to other townies analysis.

Probably because people have been cooped up over the holidays/between terms/in the weird interstitial space between when normal social patterns end in mid-December and before they begin in mid-January. That in addition to the omicron wave has probably kept most people more inside than usual, which means less in-person interaction and more zoom interaction. The lack of engaging external activity leads to attempts to self-soothe with easy dopamine fixes, suppressing serotonin levels. The omicron surge echoing the early pandemic and first winter stresses out the subconscious, so baseline levels of cortisol and other stress hormones begin to rise and the adrenal medulla begins to tense up slightly. As a result, the id wants to act out, but the superego is too exhausted to really be effective anymore, leaving the job to the ego. The ego only has the rudimentary defense mechanisms of desperate humor and attention seeking, and the rest is left as an exercise to the reader.

For the first one, any push ghug made, although you have a point that scum ghug could be doing it for towncred if aware of his own meta enough, the fact the scum ghug is super not pushy and more jokey is a difference.
For the second one, Not particularly ,it d1, there was an emotional component to him coming back to questioning again, that came off as wanting an answer instead of just asking for the sake of doing so to appear active.

Well it was odd, and illogical, and I made a post about it to the god QT, but it didn't seem like a purposeful misrepresentation. I think doing that push is a relatively good look for ghug even though the push itself was poor. DL8 +1ing that of all things is odd though...

Ghug was being serious and very literal reading it again.
I also think tbf answers later on explain his point too. I do get somewhat where Ghug is coming and is trying to get a clear answer. I do buy tbf's later posts on uhh page 11 about the scrutiny.
I don't think ghug was misrepresenting and I think the fault lies in that miscommunication of serious versus jokey.
