Hopefully this appointment will see a return to the glory days when Maniac was a mod. If I recall correctly he stood down on the anniversary of the day Mandela died in prison... sad times.

There is, thanks for asking (and thanks for making use of the suspicion lodging functionality)

The reason we're not adding new mods is that we're putting in some new features in the background to try and reduce the mod workload in various ways, to allow gamemasters to be appointed to games, pauses to be made more automatic, multi-account detection and resolution less time consuming, and I'd like things to be more concrete before bringing on new people.

I'd be concerned bringing on brand new mods without a more dedicated and experienced steady hand like jmo to make sure things are well guided and there's no unintended consequences etc.
We're expecting a user spike over the next few weeks also which adds to the mix.. I am trying to optimize and get things going behind the scenes as quick as possible, and although the most visible aspect are some minor bugs we are making significant progress.
