I'm just starting to hear about this QAnon thing-o in Australia. Anyone closer to the action in the US care to enlighten me a little as to what this movement is about?

He's made multiple correct predictions, and some on the right follow him for inside information on the workings of our federal government.

by correct prediction do you mean he made super vague statements that ppl interpreted in whatever way they felt was most likely to be correct? Btw, he's made far more incorrect "predictions", if you can call them that, than correct ones.
