News reports of the border opening had resulted in larger numbers of people flocking to the checkpoint. The queue stretched for hundreds of meters. Tempers became frayed as hopeful entrants found themselves waiting for hours in the November cold. Some of the frustrated entrants became suspicious of each other, with Kolechians coming under particular scrutiny.

Suddenly, gunshots rang out! A Kolechian terrorist tried to climb over the checkpoint wall and was gunned down by an eagle-eyed border guard.

The sound of the gunfire caused the entrants waiting in line to panic. Screaming, pushing, and shoving, they fled from the checkpoint, fearing for their lives. The guards shouted for order but soon the stampede was totally out of control!

When the dust settled, it appeared someone had been trampled to death by the panicking mob. Someone identified him as a local man, the director of a small engineering plant.

Tom Bombadil has died - he was Messof Anegovych, the VANILLA ENTRANT.
