Like I read his post and while I do appreciate him trying to change my thinking and playing process, I don't get how he is a national treasure. Seems very much like any other player in this game. He is giving me if damo and squigs had a baby vibe of that makes sense.

I am going to be 100% honest with you (and damo666) I still don't get how yall figure this out. It hasn't clicked in my head fully when I asked about how it was done during the AAR. Like others have said this is a skill/strategy some have and some don't. Maybe this game or in the next one it will finally click for me.

I am all about learning and being a better player.

Just have fun and don't take it too seriously. Nobody has this figured out, they've just found a way to lie to themselves that they have a strategy that is better than a random number generator.

So far in this game, besides me, who have you tried thie method on?

Obviously not town that have been mechanically cleared.

But yes, the people you feel really, really good about? That's because some of them have worked hard to make sure you feel really, really good about them. While the people you suspect look sketchy because they are trying different things, changing their minds, being indecisive, admitting they don't know, chasing down wrong leads that they didn't know were wrong at the expense of correct calls that they didn't know were correct, and not worrying as much about making you think they look good.

There are townies who look townie, and scum who look scummy, and vice versa. But always remember that scum have the incentive to avoid drawing suspicion.

I'm regards to my question about play style, I think you are misunderstanding my point for these questions. I am not using this as a gotcha type thing as evidence for some wagon I'm building. It's quite the opposite actually.

I'm not accusing you of setting up gotcha question. But you risk anchoring how you think about a player on how they say they play, when in reality, nobody plays consistently. And then when you see inconsistency between how someone said they play and how they actually play, your brain will be suspicious, because your brain is actually really bad about telling the difference between a game of forum mafia and life-and-death situations where your continued existence relies on being able to identify threats.

(Pop quiz! Do you know who has the most incentive to play consistently...?)

In regards to play style: Like I said before, I do find playing this way makes the game way more enjoyable for me. If I'm enjoying the game the more engaged I will be. It becomes like a puzzle for me to figure out in a way. I dunno how to explain.

In regards to gotcha questions: that is a fair point to make about anchoring my brain due to these questions. Going to think some more about that. This is only my second game with this play style so I'm still fine tuning it with everyone's advice.

Do you know who has the most incentive to play consistently...?

Basing this between vanilla Town, town prs, and mafia I would say town pr. They don't want to make waves and draw attention to their pr so they have to put some sort of mask to cover that up.

I feel like I might be wrong but my answer makes the most sense in my head.

You know, if there's one game where no killing might make sense day 1, it's a multi.
Night kill analysis in multi is pretty big and gives us concrete stuff to work off and this first daykill phase feels much less important than usual.

I'll contact members of my alliance and ask if they'll agree.

Why does no-kill make sense on D1 in a multi especially?

I have been sympathetic to D1 no-kill in the past, but have come around to the view that D1 vote analysis and interactions are much more useful later on in the game.

I will say the following:

All players are required to participate in the game.

Minimum participation in this game is defined as follows:

1. All players must read their Role PM before the end of Day 1.
2. All players must join the Discord server before the end of Day 1.
3. All players must post at least twice per Day phase.
4. All players must end the day on a valid vote. "No Kill" is a valid vote in this context, but "Unvote" is not.

Currently everyone has participated to some degree, except for Macca, who is yet to post.

I think no-kill on D1 never makes sense. With two possible (likely) NKs it looks even worse. What am I missing? What info you expect to get from the NKs that are better then the voting analysis?

I think no-kill on D1 never makes sense. With two possible (likely) NKs it looks even worse. What am I missing? What info you expect to get from the NKs that are better then the voting analysis?

Why do you think it's worse with two NKs? In normal games DKs are the only chance we have at hitting scum (besides guns I guess) but in this game scum can kill the other team, so that's not as much of a problem here.

Though, I'm still anti no-kill.
