M1019 – Once Upon A Time… [GAME THREAD] [HIDDEN]

Well, choosing to not kill clears, and instead go for others, is a bad losing strategy. The fact they went for it implies to me that whoever's playing has to be someone who was on Mafia last game, and really liked the strategy then.

So we have to entertain the possibility than Snowy worked with PE to fake his own death. If PE rolled the Scum Team was Kak/Snowy/PE, it would work shockingly well. They could no Kill night 1, and have an almost guaranteed win.

(More seriously, considering last game, I'd say scum team is probably players who weren't around that time? After game 70, I don't see any scum player having the courage to not do the boring and obvious play, cause it seemed like a pretty clear lesson that if you're scum, you gotta kill clears. Add in that this is a flip game, where killing clears is even more important, and...)

I know you're kidding but after rereading ghug's D2/N2 it's entirely possible they chose not to go to for the clear because they looked at ghug's comment, that basically said Mason 2 should not search for damo in case the tracker accidentally stumbles upon him. That might lead mafia to a) think ghug is the tracker and b) think that they can take the high odds of damo missing search 2 and that they should kill him asap because he's a high activity poster who lead discussions AND also possibly a PR.

reread Ghug n1/d2 and I don't see any crumbs (he also doesn't seem like the type). I think him towncoring TFB based on that discussion is pretty reasonable if he's already hexenjäger and has thought this through (also probably a reason for his death), so if he got anything n1 he didn't tell us directly.

Yeah, that comment struck me as odd when I first read it. I thought it was just Ghug making a bad assumption (lost child should always search Damo, if tracker finds lost child, lost child can claim. Not end of world). But, Ghug wanting to make sure that A- He didn't have to claim and B-Didn't want his PR to hurt town... I could see mafia assuming that means he's tracker.

The pool is 8 people. Take out the Kak voters day 1 (which is me, and Ghug, and Snowy, half credit to you and VecGO for starting the wagon), and that leaves us with....... 7 people. One other clear is in that list, gets us 6 in the pool.

Scum is probably fine with that POE.
