I came back planning to say what I actually meant by all this big paragraph-

There isn't actually anything useful I can say about the claim. To answer your question, no, I don't think the plan is always to retract for Scum!Ghug, but that's a pointless question. Trying to analyze it for information is a purposeless endeavor, b/c it just amounts to the basic question of "Would Ghug do this personally?" Which, psychologically speaking, is impossible to know unless Ghug is scum and did do that, or if Ghug in a previous game did do that. And if he did do that as Scum in a previous game, chances are he wouldn't even do it in this one, because it's too obvious.

We were discussing fake claims to benefit town before, so it's hardly out of the world for Town or Scum Ghug to see that and realize it could benefit town, or Scum, to make that play. There isn't anything on the pendulum to swing my analysis one way or the other here, because Mafia team's actions would have been the same if They didn't believe the fake claim, or if they knew for sure it was a fake claim.

So, I disregard the nonsense that's not helpful to analyze, and instead go back to my initial argument early in that night-Taking votes for Tom, and creating a pool of people who didn't put pressure on him day 2 or 3. That leaves Ghug and Sabi. So I say Ghug.

Though I thought this may have been a result of having suspected ghug was fake claiming (as I rather like to think I would have, had I not seen the answers ahead of time) that also does not mesh with "if ghug fake then chaqa cop"
