Hardclaims are fake news.

I sometimes ponder about the meta, right?

And I don't mean people's meta. I mean like a baseline of decision making processes that we work under with few if any exceptions, such as:

Kill any lurkers
Kill the people who fake claim for no reason
Kill people who are being unnecessarily toxic, etc.

Right, and wonder the effect of what such a "meta" would be. For example, if we banned the existence of fake hardclaims we would not be able to do what ghug did just now, but we also wouldn't have a Jasnah scenario either right (probably, hopefully)? So which is better?

Probably one would argue that to allow for freedom of expression and plays is better, but I've seen such rigidity really limit the amount of lies and wifom scum can pull off too.

Just some food for thought, not really relevant.

We've shifted away from zero tolerance on fakeclaims over time, which I think has been good for town, but is also inevitable. A single game is such an investment that we're never going to play against our win condition to punish someone we believe to be town for fakeclaiming.

I dislike the whole "hardclaim" thing, because we can just call them claims.. Nobody ever makes a serious claim that isn't "hard". You create the term for a less impeachable claim, then every claim has to be that kind, and then it gets the fakeclaims too. It's the euphemism treadmill.
