I think we need to operate under the assumption that only one scum is dead

bet that my team both wins a title and fires the title-winning coach fasterworcej wrote: ↑Mon Oct 04, 2021 4:12 pmAt the time this was posted I was smoking a cigar with my father-in-law and drinking an Old Fashioned discussing the Seahawks Victory and why the University of Washington football team blows and needs to fire their coach.Bonatogether wrote: ↑Mon Oct 04, 2021 2:00 amWhere did worcej go?President Eden wrote: ↑Mon Oct 04, 2021 1:56 amAnyway, everyone except snowy and Vecna have posted, so unless they make this day phase spicier than the cooking back home, I'm gonna end vote on Tom

It was my theory, smh
And why isn’t ghug on your list?
Re: M70 - THE BASKIN-ROBBINS CONSPIRACY [HIDDEN]
If you get off another scan, then a "not-guilty" result is only bayesian, not 100%.
It's a bit tricky to calculate the exact bayesian factor to be applied (since we don't know if bozo was the GF). I could work it out if anybody cared...but I don't. Just keep in mind that a "not-guilty" is only a signal on par with a fakeable townslip (is it a townslip?).

Yeah, I think that's safe. I think jasnah or Jamie could have been one, but there's no guarantee. Tom is definitely #2 at least, though.

Yeah you got me end me tomorrow fam
Wasn't someone here an actuary? I could probably work it out too if anybody cared but uh, yeahBunnyGo wrote: ↑Mon Oct 04, 2021 4:32 pmIf you get off another scan, then a "not-guilty" result is only bayesian, not 100%.

I'm the one who theorized they thought I would scan Snowy, but it doesn't matter really.
As for ghug... reasons

I distinctly remember you saying you'd scan kgray or something

Depends on the night. I've mentioned both of you as attempted scans and also TFB. I think someone looking at my reads generally would assume my scan would go on you or Kgray, though.

One more end vote. No rush as long as we end before 6 PM
Re: M70 - THE BASKIN-ROBBINS CONSPIRACY [HIDDEN]
Yeah...I'm a mathematician too. But this is particularly tricky because your bayesian factor has to itself assume things about the number of non-GF scum left and whether GF is alive. There's a reason Bayesian analysis isn't used with non-simple distributions: it's a bitch to calculate.snowy801 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 04, 2021 4:36 pmYeah you got me end me tomorrow fam

The actuary answer would be: meh...let's just load enough caution to make sure we make a profit but not too big a profit to be fined and be done.
The physicist would just have a computer do it and call it a proof.
The mathematician would disappear for a couple years to prove a new theorem that not only can the 10th decimal place be calculated, but that it relates to a strange conjecture on coloring graphs.

God you're annoying.
