They're clearly going through some shit right now, and this game is hard to keep up with. That seems like a perfectly plausible explanation for their behavior the past few days.worcej wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 3:54 pmRL issues causing availability gaps aside, I honestly cannot understand why anyone has a town vibe from Sabi in this game anymore. Sabi's posts have mostly been non-value adding and no real effort to scum hunt. Mostly little jokes here and there.BunnyGo wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 2:53 amSabi is in early, and starts talking and asking questions, but never once addresses bozo. They addresses TFB for calling bozo's idea dumb and says he wants to just kill people.
Now, if Sabi knows TFB and Bona and kgray from elsewhere, I guess it might make sense to ignore everyone but who they knows.
But I'm reconsidering my Sabi townlean based on the first few pages.
And before anyone says it: Sabi isn't a noob. Sabi has played mafia on discord and knows how this game works.

Wait out of curiosity since I'm not familiar with this rule, what counts as encryption per the rules? Does a rot1 or rot13 cipher count? Because if so some of the let's get this bread stuff was against the rules. What transfiguration of the letters counts and as encryption and what doesn't? If I let's say performed some operation to turn letters to numbers and ran a modulo on it would that count as rule breaking? Or would I actually need to run some well known encryption algorithm for it to count?BunnyGo wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 4:41 pmThat rule isn't catch all for all encryption as my steganography was allowed.Vecna wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 4:37 pmencryption rule?Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 4:05 pmIt is not mentioned in the master rules post and DemonRHK did not indicate a game-specific ruling on it, therefore it should be assumed not to be banned.

You can be like Bunny and test the limits of such rules, or you can be nice and remember that the GM and the council are volunteers with less knowledge of encryption than you.TheFlyingBoat wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 5:00 pmWait out of curiosity since I'm not familiar with this rule, what counts as encryption per the rules? Eden's bread stuff was fine because it was an easily decipherable joke. The rule is there to prevent people from communicating in a way that isn't decipherable by others.

Bunny always asks first, and never argues when told "no". That said, Bunny has not usually been described as "nice", so this is fair.ghug wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 5:04 pmYou can be like Bunny and test the limits of such rules, or you can be nice and remember that the GM and the council are volunteers with less knowledge of encryption than you.TheFlyingBoat wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 5:00 pmWait out of curiosity since I'm not familiar with this rule, what counts as encryption per the rules? D3: Only had two real reads: Scummed me still and Towned you (kgray)
N2: Exclusively shitpost and continued to scum me. No other reads.
D2: 'trusted' Bunny, Scummed me and Chaqa, didn't want kgray or bozo to die, sheeped snowy to TFB, then 'choo choo'ed' me and called for people to get on me, then ended on TFB in claim-o-paloza.
N1: Indicated suspicion on Chaqa and shitposted.
D1: Wanted to kill Bona early (joke vote imho), voted Bunny over Jasnah and stated that the vote was because they wanted to even the votes out and thought bunny was sus, back to Bona, scummed me because my wagon went away and thought that it was because of 'signalling' and stayed on me through the phase.
You (kgray) made the point that TFB's reads are not progressing and adapting and Sabi is just as guilty of this.
Re: M70 - THE BASKIN-ROBBINS CONSPIRACY [HIDDEN]
Sabi's vote on bozo was also meh and fits a scum trying to buy credit imho:
Note: the frustration came from Vecna indicating Sabi was on the bozo-defense side.BesharamSabi wrote: ↑Wed Sep 29, 2021 6:36 pmMy pronouns are they/them BTW.
I'm town, I dunno what else to say. I was on the wrong side because of my gut feeling, that is all. I will even vote Bozo for d3 jfc what else do I need to do to prove that I am town as town can get?

I think so. People sometimes think that I am a lawyer but I'm not. I have an LL.M and I'm doing a law PhD but I have no intention of becoming either a solicitor or a barrister. My interest in law is from the perspective of policymaking and regulatory theory. I take an interest in what goes on in court but do not see myself working there.

Making text small is definitely not "encryption" in the sense of that rule, no.

All players are forbidden from using encryption, i.e. if you are going to communicate in code, it cannot be code that is only decipherable via a third party decryption service.
So a code that anyone could work out if they were clever enough does not violate the rule.
A code that, for example, requires you to have access to an encryption key provided by some software or other, where that encryption key could be shared via a link to said software, in a QT so that only the members of that QT would have it, would violate the rule.

Yeah I mean they're different people, so I have different metrics for reading them. I'm just saying that Sabi is giving some opinions, but not putting in a lot of scum-hunting effort isn't scummy for them. I think that TFB not trying to solve a puzzle is scummy for him.worcej wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 5:53 pmSabi's readskgray wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 4:16 pmYou keep saying this but Sabi has given reads on people. That said, in past games (such as M55) we have done things like saying "post xyz in the QT." Xorxes and I used a similar code with EMC to catch a bunch of people in that game.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 6:12 pmThe rule has previously been stated as:TheFlyingBoat wrote: ↑Thu Sep 30, 2021 5:00 pmWait out of curiosity since I'm not familiar with this rule, what counts as encryption per the rules? I don't understand.
You posted in the main thread, telling people what codes to use in the QT?
Wouldn't that be a bit obvious?
