I've given him a pretty lazy townread so far.

On one hand, I have better reasons to townread a lot of other players. On the other hand, from my limited recollection of his town and mafia game, he cares a lot more about his reads here than I'm used to seeing from him as mafia.

I imagine the first half of that is supposed to carry more weight here, because caring about one's reads is ultimately not that hard to fake as mafia, and someone has to be mafia.

He's definitely mafia ahead of, at a safe minimum, me, you, Flum, worcej, Bunny, Bona, Durga, Jamie, fishy, and Vecna. Put a gun to my head and he's mafia ahead of Tom and the Boat as well. But among the people in my POE pool I'm relatively unenthusiastic about killing him.

First, I would like to caution again against trying to solve the game with the assumption that I am scum.

worcej is mafia, so I think Chaqa is the cop based on worcej’s N1 post. However, it is possible I am misinterpreting that post and what worcej was really doing was trying to reinforce Chaqa’s cop claim. This could be the case if the mafia were confident they would be NKing the real cop in damo. Therefore, there is a risk in assuming Chaqa is the cop, because damo could very well have been the cop.

I think the way to proceed is for the JOAT to scan damo (assuming they used the cop scan N1), then reveal their scan results N3 EON (unless they have to claim D3), DK me or worcej D3 (it seems it would probably have to be me here, but obviously I would prefer worcej), then have the oracle target the D3 DK (again, probably me), so that worcej is revealed as mafia if the oracle get NKed. (From my perspective it would be worth DKing the oracle to keep worcej from becoming a fake “clear”, but I doubt that will happen.) This would resolve the claims, prevent worcej and Chaqa from becoming false town clears, and allow the game to be solved knowing the alignment of Chaqa (and potentially Fluminator), worcej, and me.

The alternative is DKing me and worcej and having the oracle target another DK, but that would have to be jasnah until N5 unless we delayed DKing me and worcej to D4 and D5, so the oracle would have another DK target from D3.

Shrug. When I said last night that, in a game with >6k posts in 2 cycles, everyone has had a chance to do both really townie and really mafia things, she was on the forefront of my mind.

I hate to dredge up bygones from day 1, but I did not get the impression I was arguing with someone who was working with me when I was explaining my progression on Durga. I felt like a mock witness in a cross-examination exercise.

A lot of that feeling was abated with her argument for you being mafia, which I thought was both town-motivated and insightful. Coming around on you made my stock in that fall, but as a townie who bought all the way into it, it's hard for me to say that couldn't have come from town, yknow?

And her story for what happened EOD2 makes sense as someone who was also fairly confused about what was going on at the end. I kind of wonder, though, if it's the move one of bozo's partners would make. Maybe more people sympathize with her comment here, if you were really dialed into bozo being mafia, but in retrospect it kind of sounds bussy:

...and ending up on bozo's counterwagon at the end doesn't help that. Again, fully recognizing that (1) town votes wrong, (2) EOD was confusing and (3) her story for why it shook out that way is plausible, it still sticks out as not quite being right.

I have her in a similar category to ghug, in the POE pool, not at the front but behind a lot of townreads. I would be significantly more inclined to vote her out than ghug though.

So many meet-cutes start with protag being defensive from being sniffed.

Not any meet-cutes I like, but it at least provides a solid basis for "transformative fiction".

Also, works been a massive slog, so really hoping we get a fun play when the day starts. Really wish we had kept the excitement of yesterday for today.

We have 3 miskills in the world where we spend two day phases flipping Bozo and worcej (not sure I like this plan but it's an option).

If we flip just one of them and get it right we have a fourth miskill.

I'm not opposed to flipping someone else days 3 and 4 and then using the next two to resolve them and then we have 1-2 flips after that.
