Re: The Counting Game
922 is the world record number of people playing Settlers of Catan simultaneously. The event took place during the trade show Gen Con Indy 2013. The game was set up as one continuous Seafarer's expansion board with all 922 players, with the final winner being the first to reach 25 points.

I'm very impressed with the 925 classification. Where do you come up with it?damo666 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 22, 2021 2:17 pm923 was the year of birth of Edred, King of the English 26 May 946 to 23rd November 955, son of Edward the Elder, grandson of Alfred the Great.

Re: The Counting Game
This is 1 + 10*2 + 100*9. Cute, but did you have this at your fingertips? Have a recognition for the partial sums?damo666 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 19, 2021 6:48 pm921 = sigma 10^(x-1)*x^(x-1) for x = 1 to 3
Re: The Counting Game
Wikipedia gives you that it is pentagonal and centred square. I examined those that are both 1, 5 , 145, 925. To make 925 differ composite gets rid of 1 and 5 and semi prime gets rid of 145. Nothing particularly clever!BunnyGo wrote: ↑Wed Sep 22, 2021 10:11 pmI'm very impressed with the 925 classification. Re: The Counting Game
Just looked at 9 2 1 as a sequence and see what I could come up with. Thought it looked quite pretty.

942 AD On December 17, William I, Duke of Normandy, is ambushed and assassinated by supporters of Arnulf I, Count of Flanders, while the two are at a peace conference (a man to trust Arnulf!), at Picquigny to settle their differences.
943 AD King Edmund I ravages Strathclyde and defeats the Scottish King Constantine II, who has reigned as king of Alba since 900. Constantine, the ruler of the 'Picts and Scots', abdicates to enter a monastery and yields control of his realm to his cousin Malcolm.
944 AD With recovering Edessa from the Arabs, the Greeks also obtain the fabled Image of Edessa – The "Holy Mandylion" (a cloth with the face of Jesus) which is conveyed to Constantinople, where it arrives on the feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos. A triumphal entry is staged for the relic in the capital.
