As you will inevitably see when you finish reading, my take is that ghug is onto something but that it's not a 100% all-or-nothing tell. It is true that you show less nuance when you're impostor/mafia and that you are more likely to default to simplistic explanations and frames. You have been doing that here.

For me it's more that he's been generally shitty.

Okay and what does that mean? How does it have anything to do with his Miller claim?

a) I think Bunny is one of the few people here who would consider faking that play as scum.
b) I scumread him before, and since the claim all he's done is push jasnah and be occasionally sanctimonious, which doesn't make him look any better.
c) Neither of those things matter, since there will be a CC if he's scum. The point here was to validate Vecna but remind him that we have to assume Bunny's town.

He would consider faking it, I think, but the way he went about making his claim gives him (at least in my book) no room to back out if his claim is revealed to be fake. I imagine most other people viewing the situation feel likewise. Thus, given the presence of both an Oracle and a JOAT that can investigate dead players' roles, and the high likelihood that those powers would get used on jasnah, it seems incredibly unlikely to me that he would actually go through with the play in the manner he did. He might still do it, but it would be less serious and easier to escape when things invariably go south for him.

I disagree that he's been sanctimonious and I think y'all have a bad tendency to read bad intent into things that doesn't have to be there.

It kinda pinged me too, but ultimately I'm the sort of person who gets convinced by little townslips that nobody wants to take as seriously too, so it's not a slam dunk. Vote him for my reason.

I don't mind your black-and-white reason because yeah it's similar to the 'no scum bussed teacon' thing but I really struggle to see scum!Chaqa going off about a few people scumreading him hours into the game.

It's the timing that makes me thing it's unlikely to come from scum, not the emotion. Nobody is actually afraid of getting DK'd 5 hours into the game. Way more likely that town is irritated that people are already declaring them scum and reacting out of frustration than scum is panicking that they're under pressure of being found out.

Unless Chaqa is frustrated that Vecna is his teammate, maybe.

Ok, but that only makes sense if we're talking about a real power that actually helps us. If I'm saying "HARD CLAIM, I'M THE DOCTOR", I don't think that should be respected, b/c like you said there's no reason for me to claim it. But miller is a shitty anti-role that's only power is hurting town scans. There had been quite a bit of chatter about how Miller should hard claim in the middle of D1, even without pressure. The only drawback is maybe the Mafia shoots the Miller if everyone trusts them. Oh no.
