1) normally I have a list of people I will never try to wagon D1 because I think they are good town players and D1 is such a guess that you should kill someone who could be scum but also won’t help a ton as town. I think the opposite is true this game - we should be targeting people who are good as scum, because with limited information our best hope is to keep people around who struggle as scum. We should be targeting players with strong scum games. For example, I think Jamie is easy to read as either alignment, so I do not think he should be targeted early here. ghug I would normally not think about on D1 but would be a logical D1 wagon in this setup.
I truly believe we need chaos at the end of days. Information is so limited that scum don’t need to bus so it’s more difficult to trap them into wagons on their teammates. Flash wagons eliminate scum influence and potentially give us connections between players.
At least for the first few days that’s how I think it should go. Hopefully after that we can have some scans, and town flips from night kills to actually have some information to them analyze early EOD wagon movement.
My list of 'Good Scum', meaning scum players that are able to hide well, are the following:Everyone not on this list has tells that I think the collective are able to pick up easily.

- Chaqa
- Tom Bomb
- Bona
- Bunny

I'm not. I just consider it the most likely. The 'soft claim' now being portrayed as a 'joke' probably lengthens the odds but I'd say you are still favourite. I am not 'gung ho' or in any way enthusiastic for you to be the nk. Just saying it as I see it.BesharamSabi wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 5:20 pmWhy are you so Gung ho about me being nk?damo666 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 5:18 pmIt's why I suggested they are the most likely NK, hopefully they are VT.Doom427 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 5:15 pmOk, I'm talking about the conversation on page 20 between Eden and Besharam.
There's a lot of ambiguity in that post, but either it's a Miller Claim, or it's pretending to be a Miller Claim, while still leaving open being a vanilla claim. Unless I'm totally misreading it and it's a galaxy brain play I misunderstand?
(If it's actually a cop claim, I feel bad pointing it out, but that would be so bad that town would be screwed instantly regardless)

Is that the case? After rereading the PM list I am not as confident that is the case:lfischl wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 5:22 pmWait why didn't this post work? anyway what I meant to say was that the oracle can reveal before they die if they want to.lfischl wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 5:20 pmbozotheclown wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 5:17 pm
If he survives he can reveal who he scanned.
If I understand the role correctly, the oracle will only have something to reveal when they are dead.
Cop Role PM
"At Night, you may ##SCAN a player learning if there are GUILTY or INNOCENT by PM at the End of Night."
Oracle of the Dead Role PM
"At Night, you may ##REVEAL a DEAD player. If you die from any method, that player’s ROLE and ALIGNMENT will be publicly posted in the game thread, You may change your REVEAL target on future nights. Your ability cannot be roleblocked."
JOAT Role PM
"You may ##AUTOPSY once, allowing you to discover the role of a dead player."
So I've never played with an Oracle role and have only ever seen the coroner role once, so I may be very wrong here, but it seems the Oracle of the Dead only gets information for the town on their death and never gets anything PMed to them.
I think this, because unlike the Cop's role PM, the Oracle's role PM mentioned nothing about the role and alignment of the player being revealed to them. The JOAT seems to be a one-shot coroner, not a one-shot oracle, and does get the result revealed to them. Should we get GM clarification on this?

The Oracle's reveal is public and happens on the Oracle's death.

He means that the Oracle can reveal their target - not that the Oracle learns the result.TheFlyingBoat wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 5:35 pmIs that the case? After rereading the PM list I am not as confident that is the case:

It slightly decreases the chance of a mk so is of some use. What's the downside?ghug wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 5:33 pmTownclears aren't useful on day 2.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 5:27 pmI agree with Chaqa on this.
Miller should claim. Doc can protect them, then we've got a townclear tomorrow.

I think claims that my writing is overly verbose are fair, but claims that I have been lurking seem more than a little off base lmao.

You lurk because you're not present and we cannot tell when you are or are not and are just dependent on your word.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 5:36 pmI was not lurking. Support your allegation.

You're in my 'adding no value group' because you're asking questions that have already been hashed out without looking it up yourself. It's not contributing to the collective and your one input on the miller discussion isn't enough to overcome the distraction.
Re: M70 - THE BASKIN-ROBBINS CONSPIRACY [HIDDEN]
Odds are they are not townclears later and just get CC'ed so you're at a classic WIFOM situation.
Re: M70 - THE BASKIN-ROBBINS CONSPIRACY [HIDDEN]
I'm a little tired of ##vote damo 's PR hunting.
This time it isn't even mathy based or something he could do as scum at night.

Re: M70 - THE BASKIN-ROBBINS CONSPIRACY [HIDDEN]
Upside is the cop/JOAT one shot can't be wasted on the miller and the Mafia can't assume the miller's role if they NK them. Tradeoffs of course, but I am still pro miller reveal early, but I've said my piece there plenty. The downside of the Mafia NKing the miller is way worse than the lack of a town clear later as if they do then not only do we not have the town clear for any period of time, but we also run the risk of having a false clear.
