Also, @lfischl, you have plenty of time to move yourself on that list.
Notice the version number? I plan to update it as we go along.
Re: M70 - THE BASKIN-ROBBINS CONSPIRACY [HIDDEN]
My f2f games were quite different. For one, we nominated and then voted whether to kill/not rather than just stack votes wherever (easier to keep track irl). I'm not sure what you meant by not get tells, but we played a lot of variants (parity cop, ghost whisperer etc)BunnyGo wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 4:30 pmI've played lots of f2f, but never no flip. Do you not get tells?snowy801 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 4:27 pmI'm confused. I think this setup is quite easy, though I haven't really revisited the balance since I learned of the factional roleblock
I think you guys are (perhaps rightly) scared of the no flip, but having played no flip f2f games all my life I'm telling you it's not so hard
Ultimately it was because we played with like ~ 10 people and usually just had two scum so it made it too easy if we just revealed scum flips it made it too easy/unexciting. Add on top these games lasting like an hour each and it wasn't so bad, the lack of reveal
I don't think that's either here or there though
Re: M70 - THE BASKIN-ROBBINS CONSPIRACY [HIDDEN]
Cause I made an accusation that struck too close to home, so he overreacted with a sarcastic "you got me" and self-voted.
Pretty damn suspicious, if you ask me.

I undervalued doc and have changed my mind.snowy801 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 4:29 pmI read your post but you already lost me where the doc claims 2nd
Staggered reveals are fine but should come about naturally more or less. Each day and night we'll have the opportunity to evaluate whether a claim would be appropriate
I think the reveal order should be:
Miller Day 1 or EON1
Oracle once they have something to reveal
Jack once powers used
Doc
Cop
Obviously a PR under wagon pressure or a false scum claim could change the order.

Yeah, Snowy. Bet you didn't think of that!lfischl wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 4:28 pmBut we don't know if we kill scum, that's the problem. Can we stop talking about when PRs should claim and leave that for the night.
Speaking of mechanics, Bozo is really coasting eh.

When did snowy start to reason backwards?snowy801 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 4:23 pmI actually had a thought about that earlier, because town is disinclined to stack wagons to heavily early having a visible if invalid vote on himself would make people doing cursory vote checks feel as though they wagon is already sufficiently stacked and look elsewhere
And then when he inevitably moves his vote it then looks like his wagon is dissolving
I'm not really sure whether that'd be an effective strategy
Re: M70 - THE BASKIN-ROBBINS CONSPIRACY [HIDDEN]
I'm being plenty cooperative. Just not with you.

I don't see that back on page 7/8 when he voted himself. He made a Bofa deez nuts joke and you hadn't posted about him those pages.

I'm going to circle back to this and say that this was an interesting point.Tom Bombadil wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 1:32 pmSo I’ve thought about how to approach this game a little more and here is where I’m at.
1) normally I have a list of people I will never try to wagon D1 because I think they are good town players and D1 is such a guess that you should kill someone who could be scum but also won’t help a ton as town. I think the opposite is true this game - we should be targeting people who are good as scum, because with limited information our best hope is to keep people around who struggle as scum. We should be targeting players with strong scum games. For example, I think Jamie is easy to read as either alignment, so I do not think he should be targeted early here. ghug I would normally not think about on D1 but would be a logical D1 wagon in this setup.
I truly believe we need chaos at the end of days. Information is so limited that scum don’t need to bus so it’s more difficult to trap them into wagons on their teammates. Flash wagons eliminate scum influence and potentially give us connections between players.
At least for the first few days that’s how I think it should go. Hopefully after that we can have some scans, and town flips from night kills to actually have some information to them analyze early EOD wagon movement.
My list of 'Good Scum', meaning scum players that are able to hide well, are the following:
- kgray
- Chaqa
- Tom Bomb
- Bona
- Bunny
- ghug

Hello, Fellow Townspersons.
I've been incredibly busy so please accept my apologies for the late check in. I'll do my best to catch up, looks like it has been a very busy D1 already!

Potato, potato; potato.

Besides a desire to nitpick about these distributions, hows that different from normal?worcej wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 4:28 pmI think we'll not see a kgray, Durga, Tom Bomb, Fluminator, Vecna, or bozo wagon before D4 this game.
I think you'll see the wagons of Chaqa, Eden, Jamie, Bona, Damo, and myself pushed early.

I don't exactly agree with this list but regardless, there's only 1.5 people on it that I'm willing to DK today.worcej wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 4:45 pmI'm going to circle back to this and say that this was an interesting point.Tom Bombadil wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 1:32 pmSo I’ve thought about how to approach this game a little more and here is where I’m at.

If you think Bunny is a good scum, what is then your take on his rising wagon?
