With this post I'm one of the more active players currently, so if anyone accuses me of lurking they can beat it.

You can't say "back in my day" until you're at least ten years old.Bonatogether wrote: ↑Wed Sep 22, 2021 10:51 pm3 pages is nothingBesharamSabi wrote: ↑Wed Sep 22, 2021 10:50 pmI clearly missed three pages of comments so 40 minutes was important. I agree having an oracle is a reason to support a D1 kill, but we only miss out on possible information if the oracle is the N1 NK.TheFlyingBoat wrote: ↑Wed Sep 22, 2021 10:54 pmBut that leaves the oracle of the dead to do what exactly D1?bozotheclown wrote: ↑Wed Sep 22, 2021 10:51 pmBy D2 the PRs have at least had a chance to get some information in case they end up having to claim.

Agreed. If the miller dies that's functionally the equivalent of a vanilla townie dying from a power perspective with a slight downside insofar as we do lose a confirmed town to the NK if there is no CC. The benefits of having confirmed town for some period of time, saving all power roles from even the chance of being targeted for a turn early in the game (presuming mafia targets the miller), saving cop scans for useful targets, and the potential for early claims and CCs all point to it being more beneficial than not for the miller to claim early.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Wed Sep 22, 2021 11:06 pmI can see an argument either way. If the miller claims early and is not CCed, the mafia using the NK on the miller is not a bad result. It also would keep the cops from wasting scans on the miller.

I had to read the setup pregame because it was bad and everyone wanted to convince RHK to make it not bad.

Re: M70 - THE BASKIN-ROBBINS CONSPIRACY [HIDDEN]
We do need to try to kill the mafia, but I think a D1 no-kill is worth considering in this game because it is no reveal, which is not typical for games here.BesharamSabi wrote: ↑Wed Sep 22, 2021 10:55 pmTfb this is sus that you want to kill people off instead of keeping people alive.TheFlyingBoat wrote: ↑Wed Sep 22, 2021 10:54 pmThat seems kind of stupid to me. We surely want a D1 kill so that the oracle is the dead can do something, right? With no reveals on death we both need to maximize the use of our oracle while also taking as many shots as possible at the mafia since the normal solve strats are going to weakened somewhat, at least initially. There is no roleblock on mafia so at first glance after five mins of thought it seems like the best course of action is to kill someone every day and have the oracle scan the killed person every day and play the odds game and hope the cop/JOAT/oracle can together give us enough information for a solve or hit on enough lucky shots that we win anyways.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Wed Sep 22, 2021 10:22 pmMaybe a D1 no-kill is a good option for the no reveal game. One of the primary reasons argued against a D1 no-kill is the lack of information, but in this case we are not going to know the alignment of the DK. The other reason I think a D1 no-kill may be a good option is that it will make sure our PRs do not have to claim D1 to avoid the DK. However, I would like to know what others think.

I don't like that you answered this seriously
Re: M70 - THE BASKIN-ROBBINS CONSPIRACY [HIDDEN]
I didn't ask why you read the setup, I asked why you're being serious. Defensively answering questions that weren't asked of you is sus.
Re: M70 - THE BASKIN-ROBBINS CONSPIRACY [HIDDEN]
Confirmed town is only good for town in the endgame. The rest of the time, they give people cover to not have their own opinions and then die and leave us back where we started, numbers-wise.TheFlyingBoat wrote: ↑Wed Sep 22, 2021 11:13 pmAgreed. Is that list specific to this game, or is it for all games?
