Hi Doom welcome to webdiplomacy.
A few things to be aware of is that these games can get very big, move very fast and it can be a bit overwhelming. Just remember that you do not have to read every single thing, but it is a time commitment and there are many pages of dialogue.
Posting multiple times each day phase (48 hour periods) is required of players, and you must always end a day phase with a vote on another player.
During the night phases (24 hours) you are not required to talk at all. Players tend to talk at night here because it is allowed however.

Our house rule here on webdiplomacy is that we do not use the word lynch. We say eliminate, day kill, remove, or some other word that has more pleasant murdery connotations. The other rule to be aware of is that we are really trying to be respectful of players pronouns on this forum. If you wish to go by they, or she, or he it is not a bad idea to let people know. I recall seeing on discord you prefer they, so this is something we try to respect and observe here.

It is great to see you finally join the dark side of webdip. This is a community which can be very intoxicating. It is a highly addictive game which has claimed the time and energy of many dip players over the years. The most important thing is to have fun while desperately trying to keep up with the drama, the meta gaming, and the many hundreds of side dialogues taking place. Do not feel like you have to learn everything all at once. The most important part is to have fun and temper the chaos and uncertainty with lighthearted investigation. The basic mechanics of the game are detailed in our rules but just remember to post each day and vote. The rest is all up to your discretion.
