Kelly couldn't believe the sight of Roger, suffocated and marked up. However, despair suddenly gave way to the need for immediate action. Bert, the oldest of the group, pulled the dead body out of the driver’s seat, and exchanged positions with it. Bert sparked the ignition and hammered the gas pedal to the floor. The others stumbled with the quick acceleration.

“Where the hell are we going,” asked Kelly frantically.

“The furthest as hell away from here,” cried Bert as he navigated the RV along the road.

“I swear that goddamn sheriff Taylor‘s in on this! Too much of a coincidence for all this death to be happening around us and nobody knowing anything about it! God damn it all to hell!” He squinted toward the road as he yelled.

“Bert, where the hell are you driving to,” yelled Rick.

“Unsure! Honestly, I’m lost. Just not into town. I don’t trust ANYONE there!”

The road they were on was dusty, dark, and not lit. The headlights from the RV were the only luminescence offered them.

Suddenly, Bert coughed and winced. He punched on his chest a couple of times.

“Jesus, must have been that burrito I ate tonight!”

Then he seized up. Kelly had the wherewithal to jump toward the steering wheel while Rick and Olivier pulled Bert away. It wasn’t fast enough though as the RV careened off the road and forced its way through to a meadow.

It was strangely reminiscent of where this had all begun.

Olivier declared Bert dead. Massive heart attack.

Bert was played by Bona, Vanilla Town.

Frustrating game overall. We get one more shot at this, but I don’t think it’s likely we can win

Do you know that moment, when you are inside a car, you feel the gravity shifting and the world before you is tilting to one side, and everything is moving in slow motion? And whatever you do, using the break, shifting the drivers wheel left/right, activationg 4WD, pressing full onto the gas pedal, activating the wipers, changing the radio channel, ... nothing about the situation changes, you just see what will happen and you enter a strange zen emotion.

This is kinda how it feels right now. And only a miracle can help us.
