The man behind the curtain had been absent for days. Those in the Chipotle R&D lab had started wondering if this was ever going to end. They had hanged several infiltrators and innocents, but finally, it seemed like the end was in sight.

They had dragged the man claiming to be "Vecna" to the gallows. Kicking and screaming at first, but resigned at the end.

"Do you have any final words?" asked Damo.

"Wait, you guys actually voted?" he replied, with just a hint of a southern draw. A small hint of curiosity came across Snowy's face, but before he could ask, Kgray pulled the lever and Vecna fell, his neck snapping.

Had Bona been present, it would have been clear what had happened. He would never forget his father's voice.

Snowy looked carefully at the body, before noticing a crease along the neck. Touching it, he realized the man was wearing a mask. The group gathered around, watching, as Snowy removed the mask...

The plan is coming together perfectly, the man watching the monitors thought. On the main viewer, the employees were unmasking his proxy. But in the corner of the room, he noticed one person trying to climb into the air ducts and sneak away.

As an audible gasp is heard from the gallows as the truth is revealed, Jamie climbs into the vents. The man laughs and activates the intercom:

"I saw Jamie venting."

He presses a button, and the security measures in the vent are activated, incinerating Jamie instantly.

Ah, I see that as I thought, it was Vecna who gave me all those items - presumably it *was* Vecna's plan to jump on my wagon and get them all back. But without the rice that was a very long shot I guess.
