If you are mafia, you could have not used the RB and claimed it. However, there are other ways the NK could have been prevented, so I am not assuming Tom is scum. If Vecna claims to have RBed Tom, and Tom turns out to be mafia but not the hooker, it could mean the RB was not used so that the hooker was not at risk of being tracked.

What other ways could the NK have been prevented?

I believe the options are:
1. the NK target commuted
2. the NK target had the BP item
3. the NK target was protected by the brown rice item
4. the NK target was protected by the white rice item and damo is misleading us
5. the mafia did not attempt a NK

Ghug I would currently describe as having a sort of "I dont give a fuck" aura. Which might just be him not giving a fuck, or just not wanting to say anything too egregious so town can just do the usual "let suspicion result in TvT wagons" type of scenario.

The good news is that the only main wagon I really dislike is Snowy.

Ghug wagon sucks because of the people on it, but Ghug have been really unimpressive.

I don't know if the commuter would know if he was the NK target, and the BP would have another BP use, so I am not sure they would or should claim.

Is there a world where town would alternate their use of an item/skill? What would the pros of such an action be?

I just feel like Rivera's claim is dubious, but if no one else claims the role before EOD then I guess it's a clear. Unless ghug was the cop.
