We are mathematically unable to win, which is why it was a good idea to not vote yesterday, and especially it was dumb to vote for Snowy. Very disappointed in everyone else

Our only chance is a tie today with a doc save tomorrow, which doesn’t even help us win. So we can’t win.

Game should be over.

GM Note:
I'll concede you're pretty much right with this. Considering it's a mini-mafia game, I'll just go ahead and call it as a Mafia and Jester Win.

Mafia was Vecna, Damo, and Bozo.
Jester was ghug
Doctor was JBH
Cop was RDR.

My thoughts:

1. For the most part, the town were pretty damn accurate with reads and figuring out who the scum were here. Very few bad reads honestly.
2. Yes, the setup is designed to be incredibly swingy and it's just a mini-game so don't hold it into much regard. Realizing you had limited chances was a part of the towny mindset that should've been factored in, but most of the town failed to do so.
3. That being said, rdr had a guilty on bozo (great move) but also softed it and didn't come forward swiftly (bad move), making the validity of his claim questionable and resulted in bozo getting away with his fake claim when he was near the chopping block.
4. JBH also could've been the hero, but became a zero, by having a save setup for HB and then moved it to himself. Insert sad face here.

Ok, so I know some of you were mad at me for not voting the clown or Snowy. I think the clown is the jester, Snowy I thought wasn't mafia.

Stay mad though.

Chaquito was right, I missed the page where Bozo very boldly said he was the cop. Totally missed that page. Crazy. Well, I think he is the jester. But I am likely wrong.

Having processed it while watching, the Jester was definitely in position to be a kingmaker if left alive past D1 and only a couple of people picked that up.

All in all, I think this was an exciting game. I understand that it ended in a frustrating note but I had a banger of a time while I still lived. Had I been more cognizant of my impending death I should've realized that my reads + Hamilton parking on me + setup means I die d2 no matter what I do, but I'm afraid I was also at work and there was nothing to be done about it anyway.

I do want to point out that people like food and HB shouldn't be overly criticized for their fatal error: it's a learning experience, and they did their best.

JBH: saying "I know nothing" and meaning "I know nothing" are very different things. You should at least attempt to get a cursory idea of how this set up works, and what is happening in the game. To do otherwise is to do disservice to literally everyone else who signed up to this game.

You're kinda right.

A tied vote today would just make it easier for you to win. You would've had 3 people to guess who the doctor is. If you succeeded in a kill, it would've been 3-3-1 and then you win. If you failed to kill, it would've just been 4-3-1 still and we repeat until you win.

A tie wouldn't have changed anything. A ghugkill and a docsave was an out for town, which would have been funny.

I confess I don't have the time or the will to keep playing, even if there was a small chance. I probably handled badly my claim, so I take my share of the blame.

Sorry for not entering orders at night but I knew the scumteam so it won't make any difference.

And I stand to what I said yesterday. I won't play again with people who refuse to learn how to play. Being wrong is part of the learning experience but if you refuse to understand how the game works you will never learn and will just screw the game to the others.

The setup is really hard for town, I think the Jester isn't really an interesting role, you have basically an auto win as Jester, maybe it could be better if you have to be DKed on the first two days otherwise you become town, this could make it more interesting and balanced and allow for interesting play.

I love that I spent the whole night thinking that Chaqa was going to try to work with scum to deny me a victory out of spite, and mafia spent the whole night thinking that the entire town was going to jester claim.

The game was over. Optimal scum play is to agree with jester to no vote until a NK succeeds, then vote out jester. Mathematically guaranteed.

I won't feature a jester in any game I ever make again.

This game was also an experiment on the no talking during night phases, which I like personally, but would only do in games with 48 hour day phases - it did allow some people to keep up and I think that's good to see.
