Ok, I screwed it up...try again.

Suppose they have 3 guns.

Night 1: Jamie not shot but claims he is shot, Snowy shot. No gun used, and one voted shot.

Night 2: Eden shot, Snowy shot, Johnny shot. Two guns used and one voted shot... that is two guns used.

My whole thing goes to hell in the statement you said... that there were 2 shots on night 1. Do we know that? If we do... then yes, I am dead wrong.

Yes, we do know that there were at least two shots night 1, from GM info.

He explained the JBH push perfectly well, and it made perfect sense. Do you also not understand his argument?

I reread celaph and I still don't really have an opinion from that. I had a slight townlean on brainbomb.

It felt forced and the case was manufactured (and adapting) to fit the need to flip JBH. The same logical thought process was not being executed with ghug, which stood out to me as concerning.

ghug retracted his claim, JBH never retracted his.

JBH's claim has to be either true and townie, or false and scummy, there is no other alternative.

ghug's claim and retraction could be either true or false, towny or scummy, not really comparable.

A cursory look at some of your past games shows you do often move your vote around. But in any case, if you thought your vote was meaningless, why unvote then?

Depends on which game. I just did a look and found a few such as M57 where I only ever cast one vote per game.

That still doesn't explain the unvote.

In this scenario the team that makes most sense to me is Chaqa EMC ghug.

His vote on HB is the most scummy thing in this game. There is no way town Chaqa approach the game this way. Also, from his POV voting JBH makes a lot more sense as he knew the game could end if JBH is scum.

And Ghug is also scum for the way he handle it. The third one is harder. If it's JBH the game is probably over barring a N3 rose. If it's now then we still have a chance.

How was my handling it scummy? I parked my vote on a scumread early, and I came back to find that wagon up against two townreads, so I advocated strongly for it.

You tried to dismiss the wagon on Chaqa to consolidate on HB, I don't expect town Ghug to do this, you like vote movement as town to have more info.

There was one vote on Chaqa. It wasn't a wagon. It was you moving your vote so that it didn't count.

I'm a lot more skeptical of Chaqa than I was before the Hamilton flip.

If you survive and are town:

If there is only one shot and Xorxes is killed then either Chaqa is scum or scum held a shot. It would reasonable in these circumstances to simply assume Chaqa is scum and vote him.

If there is one shot and Chaqa is killed I would be amazed because it would mean scum held a shot for no apparent purpose. [In fact it would probably imply you are scum but we have assumed you are a town survivor].

If there is one shot and either somedbody else or nobody is killed then see what Xorxes says but my advice would be to kill Chaqa.

If there is more than one shot Chaqa is guaranteed town. Take advice from any survivor[s] of Chaqa and Xorxes. If they are both dead you could do worse than ask me....

There's practically no chance you get shot tonight, even if you are town. I will be amazed if I don't get shot (not so much as a fearkill but because I'm the only one who is almost clear and also a guaranteed kill).

Yeah, I don't really see any benefit to not claiming in this scenario, unless you think you'd lose a 1 on 1 with JBH, I suppose. We can't take any claim as gospel either, though, obviously.
