I didnt say the crusade against me was fundamentally baseless. I just said it was kinda stupid

Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
It has happen before. I was scum in a game where all scum ended up on the same wagon to days in a row. We won that game :)
Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
(don't really have the energy to do it complete)
ISO Teacher (upto p32)
p4 "I think tracker should hardclaim" with bad fake reasoning.
p5 "my soon to be old job (lawyer)." - Lawyers can never be trusted :)
p6 "Brain: Talk to me about your self-vote?" - Teacher tries to be "upset" over Brain selfvoting 24+ hours before deadline. That appears very fake to me.
p26 "Welcome back Peter. Thanks for tunnelling" - Odd comment. I did not get it.
p27 "why arent you voting brain for survival?" - Just asking this questions show that he is clearly fully up in the scum mindset. He thinks that his own survival is SOO important.
p32 "Not at all. The odds of a Doc/JOAT save are small. Pure math says it is (1/14*1/17) tonight, or less than 1%. Lets add common sense (assume scum and doctor are trying to kill and save in the same smaller townier pool) and make that (1/5*1/6) – its still only 3%." - These calculations is still so IRRELEVANT and he continues with this shit to defend his "Tracker hardclaim" idea. He disregards that intelligent players do not do a random choise, and depending on how how intelligent they are, the odds go up A LOT.

Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
I think teacher just doesnt like self votes? maybe its a personal distaste.
I dont think self voting matters as long as you arent doing it at end of day or end hammering yourself as the deciding vote. the rest is just drama and pomposity

Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
Teacher is pretty solid either town or SK to me. Dont ask me to explain, i cba
Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
Seems like you are already preparing with excuses since you know how the flip will be!
Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
Jamiet, if Brainbomb does not become a viable wagon, will you be changing your vote off him?
Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
Vec, I would like to see a full reads list from you. I know you have put stuff here and there about people, but something a little more concrete would be helpful. Even Peter has one of those now (although I do agree that his reads look a little OMGUS). Also, can you convince me why worcej and yav are town? I get where you are coming from with the genuine interactions because they don't seem thought out as much, but that genuineness helps us to see their motivations or lack thereof which is why I have them pegged as scum. I don't like what I see.
Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
Uhhuh, im sorry im not respecting your monopoly on having something to say about the wagon on you.
Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
i find it odd that yavuz didnt unvote me, he just unended me. so what is the reason for de-escalation of scumreading me enough to want to end me, but not enough to unvote lmao
Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
I havent been taking any notes or w/e this game so I fear itll be all kinds of incoherent, but ill put one upSquigs44 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 16, 2018 5:41 pmVec, I would like to see a full reads list from you. Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
Sorry Vec, that was a cross post. It looks like you explained yourself a little. Looks like you based your thoughts of Yav on meta, which I don't have the advantage of doing.
Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
I doubled down on this overnight, as you show below. I invited everybody to prove me wrong. Nobody has risen to it. I still think it would have been the right play if we had had two townflips. I think we should do it the day before mylo/lylo still, but havent raised it because thats not close.
Brain nailed it. Its a policy dislike for me, from inherited wisdom that it is scummy. Discussed here..
I was joking that your first post out of lurk only discussed one slot, showing a lack of engagement.
Nope, or Id be lurking a heck of a lot more. I was trying to get at your motives, and your response is what saved you.
Since I started playing forum mafia again in March, I have played appr. 12 games with protective roles, lasting an average of 3 nights. I have seen two saves. 2/36=6% save chance. I am trying to find more global statistics, but I think you are overvaluing Dr, and undervaluing known!town.peterlund wrote: ↑Mon Jul 16, 2018 5:37 pmp32 "Not at all. reading page 28 ~30,bozotheclown wrote: ↑Fri Jul 13, 2018 8:07 pmthedipplayer would be my choice as an alternative to peter.
Teacher promotes peter lynch, but quickly switches over to the lurking 'thedip' when bozo, out of the blue mentions thedip wagon 1 hour before the game.
Soon, the vote goes from peter with 5 to 8 votes on thedip, strongly pushed by teacher, bozo, and the executed traitor, DrCJG.
very interesting, as teacher has been against voting demon for lurking as well, but wanted to kill another lurker, thedip, just fine.
Teacher - scum
Bozo - scum
demon (replaced) - slight scum
Fox - town; very suspicious of voting thedip, shutdown by teacher
Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
What is it about squiggs that pings your scumdetector, DoubtingThomas?
Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
I agree with Vec that this shifts my outlook of doubtingThomas over to the town side. My main problem with DT was that he cared about what other people thought of him and was trying to make sure he looked good to everyone else. Right here I think he showed us that he really just doesn't want to be left out. If he was worried about looking good in front of everyone he would not have posted this.DoubtingThomas wrote: ↑Mon Jul 16, 2018 3:22 pm
Why is Brain a strong town read to you?
My posts have been worse than responsive, but why is peter a scum and why am i being ignored??worcej wrote: ↑Mon Jul 16, 2018 3:15 pm
[*]Looking at peter's posts so far, none of them have been responsive to any real questions and they seem to be deflective. D1 was anti-teacher/Vecna due to their initial reads. Then D2 was meh: First was the random Damo comment, second was the Vecna 'gosh he tunnels me', and finally claimed he would provide a read list near EoD2.[/list]
am i secretly night killed and ?? seems like everyone is not just ignoring my posts but my existence
That combined with his increased effort in scumhunting has me shifting him to town lean.

In case you missed it in the first go round, context is key.DoubtingThomas wrote: ↑Mon Jul 16, 2018 5:54 pm[as teacher has been against voting demon for lurking as well, but wanted to kill another lurker, thedip, just fine.
Tell me, if Im scum, why do I get off Peter? It only gets attention, and its not like thedip softed PR.

Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
nothing much, personally feel like he's playing well like a townie.
just thinking maybe the reason why teacher didn't want demon lynched is because he was a scum, meanwhile he was the biggest influencer in lynching thedip, another lurker
