Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
Jamie you keep asking why id claim sk as town. I think town is the only role that could comfortably claim sk under minimal duress as its a roleclaim which does absolutely no damage to town whatsoever.
If it doesnt flush out sk, however unlikely that seems, what harm does it do notwithstanding? How is it anti town to confuse scum and make them aim elsewhere?
Lets say they buy my claim and shoot real sk. Then I just saved a towns life and wasted a mafia ability to assert influence.
Thats one hypothetical of many.
As for saying I claimed scum with my early werewolf joke. I definetely didnt. It was a story about a guy resisting the urge to become a wolf. Im running an rpg. I felt like having fun.
Why are you so stuck on such unimportant and mundane topics?
I have reads, youve mostly ignored them
Ive done analysis, youve definetely ignored it
Ive questioned people in a manner that was noticeably sincere and aggressive
You ignored that too
Ive reevaluated people
You ignored that
Ive tried to narrow down my scum pool, yoive ignored that as well
Heres my scum pool

Fox recently came on a bit strong trying to defend teacher. I noted this interaction and as a result fox can be out of my towncore. He also disappeared aftet stating his defense of teacher.

Why would the Traitor, who is scum remember, want to leave clues about who he visited?
Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
Why would he need coaching? Everyones been townreading him so far, no?

Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
Thanks for the answer, but if you think DrCJG was giving his real reads, why does his voting for Vecna make you think Vecna's reads were correct?BismarckAlive wrote: ↑Mon Jul 16, 2018 2:13 pmBozotheclown,
I only mentioned and looked at Vecna because DrCJG had voted for him/her. Also, PeterLund ended up being the connection between all of it.
You maybe I have been hard on. But yes - I theorise that DrCJG was giving his then "real" reads, probably to be seen as TOWN LEAN. I understand that any such "read" on D1 was ultimately guessing, but I still think DrCJG wittingly or unwittingly identified his eventual killer(s) in his posts.
Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
Peter also contributed thedip wagon well. Is that what makes him scummy? This is the second peterlund wagon - remember D1. I feel like people (scums) orient us to vote peter on purpose. Maybe scum somehow learned who sk is.
Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
Bozo im townreading pretty hard now. Which is also a big change from earlier.
Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
I think he wanted to be able to turn around and scumread me after he found out I was town. By saying he would re-read me overnight, he was allowing himself to attack me if needed, or defend me.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Jul 16, 2018 2:15 pmWhy would the Traitor, who is scum remember, want to leave clues about who he visited?

@Brainbomb:
Ok, I note your responses and the other observations in that post, and I'm thinking about them.
Two questions for you - I'll be as clear and simple as possible:
1. Explain your town motivation for saying during N1 that you planned to lie about being Roleblocked?
2. Bearing in mind your answer to (1), were you actually Roleblocked, or not?
3. Do you now formally withdraw your SK claim?

You mean, you think he was preparing to fake-claim Tracker or something? I'm not sure how he'd otherwise be able to use "visiting" you as a means to get you lynched...?teacher2 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 16, 2018 2:18 pmI think he wanted to be able to turn around and scumread me after he found out I was town. Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
So I said I would talk more about Brain, but then Brain posted something I want to analyze. So im going to keep this short. I still have no idea about his alignment, but appreciate the tonal shift in the past couple days.
1. The SK gambit that Jamie is harping on is a fairly pro-town move, as explained, though would have preferred it be approached as Squigs did.
2. The werewolf poem could be RVS, could be setting a trap to see who would defend him. Again, a possible pro-town move and I dont see it as anti-town.
3. I think I also get the self-vote now.
4. I don’t get the RB preannouncement, and he hasn’t explained it. But Jamie's already asking.

No. He visits me. He finds out Im town. He then says, on D2:Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Jul 16, 2018 2:22 pmYou mean, you think he was preparing to fake-claim Tracker or something? • Yes

•yes
Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
Why is everyone assuming that mr traitor would flip his actual reads around 100%? That is like the dumbest thing you could do lol

Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
Jamiet99uk,
Reading the role remits, if I had his role as Traitor then nightly visits of people is what I can do! so it is what I would do. That would give me "real information" which is the best anyone can do in this game of ultimate "guessing" (informed of course). What is the message someone gets when (1) they visit someone, or (2) they are visited by someone? Clearly the visitee doesn't know who visited them (hence teacher2's pondering). The message must be something like "you were visited by someone". It's the visitor that gets the information (in the Traitor's case, he learns whether the visitee is MAFIA or not). You can see how that information strengthens the Traitor's win chances...

Re: MAFIA XXXVII: THE WHEEL OF WEB-TIME
Also, softing a visiting role (PR) and then scumming the visited (who scum would know to be innocent) would be a pretty good signal to scum of who the traitor was (it works the other way too -- towning a visited scum). This was a very light soft (I only picked up on it when I went looking for Dr's real reads), so kind of perfect and well-played.teacher2 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 16, 2018 2:25 pmNo. He visits me.
