I think I'm liking this celaph character.celaph wrote: ↑Thu May 20, 2021 7:24 am@worcej, can you speak more to your ghug read?
With ghug the way he talks about Chaqa makes me think he believed he was killing town. Aside from his page 1 vote which he later describes as arguably an OMGUS vote, he never made an indication that he found anything about Chaqa's play scummy. At best he asked why people thought Chaqa was town and said that Chaqa is a bad player. After he started the flashwagon and voted he did give a reason (see below), but it's basically entirely a meta argument. He is even comparing Chaqa's play to town Chaqa's past games. None of that feels towny to me.
Also, does it not bother you that the last time ghug did this (M65) you two were scum? Side note because I was curious, town ghug doesn't vote for Chaqa D1.
Town Ghug: M57, M61, M62, M66 didn't vote for Chaqa D1.
Scum Ghug: M60, M63, and M65 did vote for Chaqa D1.
Chaqa subbed in part way through M57 so that counts less and going back further than that is much less meaningful as we have to skip to M39 to find another game they played together. But even still I think it's far more likely that ghug is defaulting to someone he knows that he can miskill than just a general dislike for Chaqa.

Fair enough, I was looking at this purely from a votes perspective and not from isos or anything. I don't think I'd want to DK Demon or Macca, but I would be willing to see emc, rdr, and gimix, in that order.
From me guts.
Re: MAFIA 67 OFFICIAL GAME THREAD —//—//— CURSE OF THE AZURE BONDS [hidden]
You've recused yourself from the game "because videogames" in two instances where you were scum in the past, so I don't like this one bit.

##CALL GM
Just want to make sure this is correct... if the Poisoner chose a target last night and was then killed, would their target still be poisoned (barring Shambler, heal, or jailing)?

It would be especially bizarre to fake being janitored in this scenario. If damo is scum, damo should fake being janitored over his partner worcej faking. And worcej seemed to be pretty townread yesterday, so if worcej is scum and damo is JOAT, why would worcej fake over jailing the JOAT, or as a second choice why not try to jail the poisoner/cop?President Eden wrote: ↑Thu May 20, 2021 1:40 amWorcej could also be faking the roleblock claim. But I’m not really sure what equity that gets him.ghug wrote: ↑Thu May 20, 2021 1:20 amNo, it's definitely weird. I just feel like it's equally weird regardless of damo's alignment, since the meta is pretty strongly not to roleblock randos the first few nights.President Eden wrote: ↑Thu May 20, 2021 12:53 amMaybe I’m too hung up on this but I swear this meta never ignores PRs like this unless the mafia is trying to style on specific players
It did happen last game in almost exactly the same situation (cop darg claimed on the block D1, and then they roleblocked a VT instead), but it was weird then too.
Might also have thought he softed something—I know you don’t need the mafia 101 lecture but sometimes people with more info than the rest of us think they see something that we wouldn’t pick up on :)
worcej faking seems entirely improbable as it would be the least valuable strategy... even if it could cause a lot of confusion, I guess...
Actually, the only possibility is maybe worcej is sniper, and they jailed him to prevent him being scanned. That might be top strats.

Worcej being the sniper would also explain why he was tryhard instead of laconically sarcastic D1.

I just do not have the patience to wade through previous games for information. Good on those of you that do, but boy...that seems like a lot of work.

Huh, it's almost like I play a lot of video games or some shit.
If you think it's a tell, fucking vote it, don't shade it.

Ifischl, perp, and myself. Is Celaph in that mix? Worcej might be too.
Re: MAFIA 67 OFFICIAL GAME THREAD —//—//— CURSE OF THE AZURE BONDS [hidden]
I believe dragonbait is among the people not listed and therefore they should not be voted.
Re: MAFIA 67 OFFICIAL GAME THREAD —//—//— CURSE OF THE AZURE BONDS [hidden]
Not really, only one f-bomb.
I'm just not a fan of these handwave dismissals. It's lazy and scum motivated. 'You weren't on my team the last time you were breathing therefore every time you are breathing you are not on my team'
Re: MAFIA 67 OFFICIAL GAME THREAD —//—//— CURSE OF THE AZURE BONDS [hidden]
Well you have enough time to get angry and dismiss my shading of you, but you don't have enough time to carefully consider the damo situation. That's highly suspicious.

HR was pretty insistent on ghug and damo being scum. Their volume for N1 was low, but that's a comment that stands out to me.
I'm not saying the two of them are. From what I gather, HR belongs to that distinct group of people that make for good night kills because they can solve the game, so there's NO correlation. However, tuck that up in under the cap for later.

@foodcoats, you expressly were not a fan of HR's day 1. In light of their demise, do you look at their day differently?
Re: MAFIA 67 OFFICIAL GAME THREAD —//—//— CURSE OF THE AZURE BONDS [hidden]
Poisoner dying is completely irrelevant to the success or failure of their action. Target would be informed at start of day they were dying at midday. For more info please review setup and role interactions.
Re: MAFIA 67 OFFICIAL GAME THREAD —//—//— CURSE OF THE AZURE BONDS [hidden]
No you see the odd thing is the way they piled on from an outside wagon.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Thu May 20, 2021 2:11 pmIfischl, perp, and myself. Is Celaph in that mix? Worcej might be too.
Lemme look again rq, but here was my thought process:
celaph, worc, eden, and Vecna bailed from damo to chaqa with 2 minutes left (post claim)
Fish and Perp both jumped from wagons that were not damo. They were never on the claim. That seems like it could be a staged move thanks to daychat (Though the odds of both of them and damo being scum are very low, it would put the Jim Henson theory back in play)
As far as Hambone I think I had him pegged for his limp onto the wagon after it got rolling PRE-claim

This makes me consider why the poisoned would reveal or not reveal. If I'm town and know I'm dying, that would be enough for me to steer people sus of me to look elsewhere. Mafia wouldn't have a thing to gain by claiming. Thoughts?
