So taste this conclusion. Many people had good conclusions, ideas, and reads. But these things were either not communicated in an ideal manner, or others were unwilling to be pursuaded.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
chaqa was widely townread early and no offense ghug but your scum pushes seldom come with much explanation. Im not disputing if you felt he was scum but much like my reads — people tend to disregard things for random reasons
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
Yeah, I'm not lamenting his not being caught as much as questioning the idea that he displayed range here. It was a pretty close replication of his last few scumgames.
I've stopped trying to be especially convincing early. I used to lead kills in the first few days, and they were rarely correct and led to worse information about other people leading kills. This game I was trying to play especially shittily once darg scanned me in the hopes they'd leave me alive a little longer, but that didn't really work out.

his volume was indisputably different than his scum lurker meta. go back and count how many town listed chaqa as town and felt he wasnt lurking.
tone wise he was incredibly scummy

Can I get some feedback on what I could have done differently as WW?
Also, I can't figure out how to make myself blatantly town.

Note: After a long chat with my friend Darg, I am not going to withdraw from the Council. However I clearly need to take a break from actually joining games for a while.
@Brainbomb: We will get back to you on your setup with any suggested tweaks but please carry on taking sign-ups, that's fine.

Your actual play in the thread wasn't too bad. You weren't widely scumread or in serious danger of being daykilled until your identity was revealed due to making too many wrong guesses.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Thu May 06, 2021 7:58 pmCan I get some feedback on what I could have done differently as WW?

In my view your mistake was that you attempted to get kills too early. As Third Party your #1 objective must always be to survive to the end of the game.

From what me and the others were chatting about in the God Thread, you played pretty well threadily, but played your abilities wrong (which sounds suspiciously like another 3P from a recent game lol). What you probably needed to do instead was more along the lines of waiting for a good number of PRs and/or scum to die off and then start chomping VTs, because those guesses are a lot safer. But you did fine as a 3P considering the pressure such a role brings.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Thu May 06, 2021 7:58 pmCan I get some feedback on what I could have done differently as WW?

Yeah I can't really criticise the second guess on Jamie because I think at that stage the Mafia had such an advantage that you really did need to kill them. But the first one a couple of nights earlier was way too soon to be guessing scum roles imo and it got rid of your safety net.
I think in retrospect I'd have given a second 'safe' guess to the werewolf before the reveal, but I also just don't think the werewolf had much chance of winning because too few scum players died and guessing scum role was always going to be a nightmare. Which is a shame because given how quickly the town PR's got killed & revealed, if you throw one or two more scum daykills into that mix then your chances would have skyrocketed.
