Right... but I just don’t get the point. It’d make no sense for scum!damo to shade you if you’re his teammate and assuming you’re town I don’t see how he’d think he can push a miskill on you. You’re not likely to be the DK any time soon.

Something that's interesting to me, is the amount of times Celaph has slipped by. He's been up for the kill a couple of times, but just kept getting by. So much so, there was even discussion about it. Now, he's all fine, What happeened? Where did all those scum reads go?

This is not to say I don't townread Celaph, I do, but it's an interesting thought. Maybe one worth a look by someone who understands this game better than I do.

Why do you bring this up? Trying to shade my vote on you?

It was just a though I had. I was wondering what other people thought about.

Also, why would I shade your vote? There are lots of votes on me, many by people more likely to be followed by you.

There’s no impassioned defense for Macca, at least not from me. But they’re doing the same thing they’ve done every game as any alignment and I can’t find a single compelling reason to scumread them.

The stuff with darg was weird but I don’t know that it was scummy. I found one thing they did I thought was towny, which was them challenging brain when brain was hard townreading them D1. But overall I think they’re really just the default vote here.

Since y'all have decided that I'm the Daykill (it's the wrong choice imo), can someone who's voting me (preferably more than on) please tell me why I'm being scumread. And do it with out saying I'm lurking (I've been much more engaged than my historical town or scum games), or just refferencing reasons in another post that eventually roll out to when I was absent. For bonus points, do it without saying I'm "generally scummy". That's something I would do, and I'm known to be bad at this game.

I want to understand, and I want you to understand what you're doing. And if you do it well, then I guess we all go down together.

Bona's Imposter tells are that he gets really really stubbornly stuck on one person who shouldn't warrant much suspicion. I admit it's similar to what he's done here with Darg, but I don't think it's the same because that Imposter mentality is usually in respond to accusations, not a proactive push as he was doing here.

It's subtle, and I might be blind to it based on his compelling VCA towniness, but I don't think he's scum here.

I do not think a defence of Macca needs to be made. I think A CASE AGAINST MACCA NEEDS TO BE MADE.

I've just had another thought on Mechanics.

Maniac said his RB targets were Jamie rdr and Chaqa as they all claimed.

So, none of them were driven that night. This decreases the chance they are town and increases the chance they are Mafia.

Similarly for Jamie the night HB tried to eat him.

Just saying.

I think the same is true of kgray 1 night.

Of these Chaqa is highest chance of being scum imo.

This is an interesting point. I have the same reservations I have had about scum-hunting purely from probabilities, but this adds weight to the curiosities of the RBd trio, and I am hesitant around the fact that we are very possibly missing a deep scum (although I am trying to avoid this, because I think a much simpler answer is that celaph is the deep scum).

I actually think it looks the worst for RDR, because by EOD2, three PRs had been neutralized. The scum may have driven themselves to avoid being RBd; the only other investigative role was the journalist. So on N3 they might've held the Driver.

But, yeah... this is very tinfoily. Not sure I'm at the point where I could vote RDR or Chaqa, even though I am giving them both the Larry David look.

Look, Bona may well be scum but imo less certain than Macca. Can we not just kill Macca and Yav first and see who is left?

My problem is that this is a policy shimmydingdong more than anything else.
No one today has actually laid out a case on Macca unless I missed it. It’s basically “Macca lurked.”

And acting this way damo is bad for town.

Very much agree on the first part about Macca being a semi-auto policy vote. Very much disagree on the second part about voting for info.

I'll phrase this differently.

1. I think bona is manifestly scummier than Macca by a mile
2. I think flipping bona gives us a treasure trove of info, so if both Macca AND bona are scum, I prefer to flip bona

I think flipping Macca is just awful from a strategic perspective. I've been trying to be coy about it to let scum try to do their thing but I think Macca is an easy bus. It is obvious from the votes that the scum are all on Macca (they were yesterday today too, even when bona had 4 votes).

The other point I was trying to make is that, if we are almost guaranteed to flip Macca anyway, it is a suboptimal strategy to flip Macca now, because flipping Macca is so dry of information. If we lose today because we flip town!bona or we lose tomorrow because we flip town!so-and-so, I think it's still better to flip not-Macca today because scum!bona's flip would help us a lot tomorrow, whereas scum!Macca's flip today will give us a much drier set of information for tomorrow.

So I think we can leave Macca until later. I think that is the optimal strategy.

Basically, if we shimmy-ding-dong Macca today, and then someone who is probably not at all a candidate for DKing gets NKd tonight, we go into tomorrow with very little new information.

Flipping Macca is strategically terrible.

Flipping one of these two gives us insight into the scum game. Macca did not play for like 6 phases. We are going to have shit all to go on.
