Why? It would just make you all not the Janitor. It wouldn't clear any of you.

Do mafia ever actually do this? I bused damo hard when he was JOAT when you were scum with the two of us. I think scum play the way that seems most natural to them rather than trying to save specific roles.Chaqa wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 9:08 pmThis is bottom strats.
Knowing Macca's role (as I presume they are mafia) will be good information. If Macca has a valuable role, we can assume mafia have been making efforts to save them throughout the game. If macca has an invaluable role (say Driver), we can assume mafia have not been going out of their way to save them, etc.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
Very much agree on the first part about Macca being a semi-auto policy vote. Very much disagree on the second part about voting for info.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
Can you expand on this for me please, or link where you've explained this read? I remember you vaguely scumreading him but not any particular reasons.Bonatogether wrote: ↑Wed May 05, 2021 12:00 amfood is 100% scum

Why do you bring this up? Trying to shade my vote on you?Macca573 wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 12:43 pmSomething that's interesting to me, is the amount of times Celaph has slipped by. He's been up for the kill a couple of times, but just kept getting by. So much so, there was even discussion about it. Now, he's all fine, What happeened? Where did all those scum reads go?
This is not to say I don't townread Celaph, I do, but it's an interesting thought. Maybe one worth a look by someone who understands this game better than I do.

Thoughts?celaph wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 5:23 amYou commented on his push of Darg, but what about his pushes on kgray, food, and myself. In your very next post you list us 3 + Bona as the four you'd be least likely to vote for (not counting your hard line). Does it not seem like he's been stubbornly stuck on us 3 when we, at least according to your list, don't warrant suspicion?Chaqa wrote: ↑Mon May 03, 2021 8:01 pmBona's Imposter tells are that he gets really really stubbornly stuck on one person who shouldn't warrant much suspicion. I admit it's similar to what he's done here with Darg, but I don't think it's the same because that Imposter mentality is usually in respond to accusations, not a proactive push as he was doing here.
It's subtle, and I might be blind to it based on his compelling VCA towniness, but I don't think he's scum here.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
You're doing all the things that I expect town kgray to do. I think the pushes you've made have been well justified as have the way you've defended others. You've given a good mix of questioning and offering your own opinion. Your desire to solve the game is obvious.kgray wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 7:01 pmI'm pretty much here with my scumreads too. Not in that order, and Macca is there by default which I really don't like, but I can find more reasons to townread Rivera and damo so if they're scum instead of Macca then it's just too late. Why is damo so high on your list? Why am I?celaph wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 6:07 amLeast in favor of killing

If Macca's town here I think we've just lost. There is no way I see them surviving 4 days. We have very little D1-2 to work off. Their catchup D3 was poor. Their push on Darg was bizarre. So little is town here.
For many of the reasons that myself and others have called out, I think Bona looks particularly suspect. The two parts that are sticking out for me are their interactions with Macca and their thought process around the cop soft claim.
Chaqa is falling on my list given the way he's defending Bona. It doesn't feel natural.
Rdr has steadily become townier as the game has gone on. I agree with kgray's argument that his play has felt really natural.
Jamie's looked a lot townier ever since the Maniac vote and I agree with Chaqa's comments here that his play regarding the ww felt both natural and towny, as if he had little to fear.
Regarding Damo, I liked how he responded to my scumread of him D2. He admitted to his N1 reads list being a response to Brain and left the implied question 'so what?'. He was confident in his own towniness. I liked his read list N4 and how he verbalized my feelings around people like yav. He's pushed against my wagon when I expect scum Damo might have tried for a miskill.
Damo's behavior today has been odd, but I don't find it particularly scummy. Like yes it's weird that he was seemingly unaware that a draw isn't a guaranteed loss, but I expect scum Damo to be just as much over that as town Damo and so his mistake is notable, but I think ultimately NAI.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
I think that there is a causal link that you're missing here. Food isn't just naming the top two wagons, but they are the top two wagons in part due to food's push of them.yavuzovic wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 6:00 pmDo you really think the top wagons are both scum? Well it was the night phase when you wrote that message but these two were already the top scumreads.foodcoats wrote:macca and bona interacted tonight in a way that was the most obvious scum theatre I puked. Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
Do you think that this is exceptionally unlikely? Scum can afford to bus especially if it makes them look good later. They only need us to mess up once.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
Can you clarify what you're saying about Yav?
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
Why wouldn't scum Yavu defend you if it gets him town cred later?Bonatogether wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 11:48 pmyavu is town here. no reason for scum to make this post (although only given the knowledge that I am town)
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
What I'm really doing here is pointing out how wide the pool of people I am willing to vote for is.
If I ignore mechanics the people who 'sound' the most town are you, rdr and celaph and the latter is added to the pool of people I definitely will not vote today or tomorrow.
My preference order for voting is
Macca Yav Bona
Chaqa
Jamie
Food
Celaph kgray rdr
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
There were a couple of typos
It should read [paraphrasing for clarity]
I think we are at scum v scum, Yav is panicking (as third man) and we have a deep threat as the outstanding 4th person.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
The current state of voting is precarious with too easy chance for scum to manipulate a tie.
As I have said I think this is scum v scum so I don't care which we get voted.
If they are both town we have lost so it doesn't matter (I am assuming that it is inevitable one of the 2 get killed). Additionally if it were TvT scum would be gleefully silent with the odd intersection to look blendy. Nobody really fits this description and I ignore the possibility.
If it is TvS then obviously it is essential we kill the right one.
Does any townsperson strongly feel either is town?
I call on all townsfolk to vote as a block.
I call on town Macca voters to either
A switch to Bona
Or
B write an impassioned defence of Bona
We must consolidate. We cannot afford to tie.

Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
I've just had another thought on Mechanics.
Maniac said his RB targets were Jamie rdr and Chaqa as they all claimed.
So, none of them were driven that night. This decreases the chance they are town and increases the chance they are Mafia.
Similarly for Jamie the night HB tried to eat him.
Just saying.
I think the same is true of kgray 1 night.
Of these Chaqa is highest chance of being scum imo.
