This is a bit like Line of Duty
It's all about identifying the 4th man
It's all about identifying the 4th man
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
I don't know how I can clear myself but my only guilt is not to know who is scum.

It's a good tactic from townpov if you like at the current votes.
If Bona and Macca are both scum Bona could self vote, get a tie and a scum victory.
We need a minimum of 6 votes on one wagon excluding the top 2 wagons themselves.
My end vote is designed to concentrate minds, force the issue ad push scum into a corner.

Ok as I previously asked you give me your best guess at the scumteam

True, maybe Bona is an easy miskill too. I just can't really see him being town.rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 6:38 pmI understand your view, but I can't see other options. Bona is also an easy miskill to push if he is town. Do you want to push for a deep threat today? I don't see any good result from it. Bona and Macca are both good choices but I can see Bona being town more easily.kgray wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 6:20 pmI get this, and mostly agree, but the problem with "can't see a team without Macca" is that it's based on crossing "townie" people off of the POEs. And if we're wrong about those people being town, then defaulting to Macca just because they didn't make the "townreads" list could end with us losing. It just makes me uncomfortable and I've been tricked by similar situations before.rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 12:07 amRip Dargo.
I think at this point I can hardly see a team without Macca. I have less confidence on Bona, but I understand the reasons to vote him. I am also willing to vote Yav.
My guess for the scum team is Macca, Yav, one of Bona or Celaph and one deep threat between Chaqa, Damo and Kgray. Right now I would bet on Damo that is holding just on his RB claim.
##vote Macca
Did you disagree with my point about Damo caring about TvT wagons? Chaqa is my best guess for the deep threat.
And I still want to hear from you why you are so sure about Celaph being town?
No, I don't think pushing a deep threat today is the best idea... The problem with the deep threats is that my townreads don't think it's the same person I do. So I guess that's why they'd be a deep threat. But I think we should start looking at them before more people get NK'd.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
In general, yes, but that's not what I've seen from damo specifically. In Eden's game I caught damo because of his ambivalence on a TvT when he'd ranked one of the wagons as his strongest townread. Maybe he just made sure to avoid that again here, but I think he genuinely didn't want a tie. It's possible it's because Flum is a better DK for scum than Maniac, but I don't know. Him caring about town wagons that much is compelling to me.rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 6:47 pmI am completely torn on Damo. I really disliked his first days and some of the math posts that look like agenda oriented. But he had some towny posts that doesn't seem faked in the last days. About the T x T I don't fully agree with you, scum often get involved on T x T wagons exactly to get town credit, either by defending a towny or by pushing one of the wagons. Also, getting Flum killed over Maniac is a great outcome for scum, at least on my personal view.kgray wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 6:20 pmI get this, and mostly agree, but the problem with "can't see a team without Macca" is that it's based on crossing "townie" people off of the POEs. Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
I think I want to take this one day at a time. I have an idea in my head who the busser(s) might be, but Macca should go first. If Macca isn't scum, I doubt we will have any chance of winning.
After Macca... it gets tough. I want to say Yavu is next, but I'm starting to get paranoid about some of the other RHK voters.
And I wonder if I haven't given too much of a pass to Rivera and Damo.

Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
Oh boy. How are Chaqa and Jamie tied? You'd just semi-cleared both of them for Chaqa pointing out something that makes Jamie very likely town a day ago.
I can't get over the feeling that this is someone who knows he's going to win if Macca dies.
I don't think I'm voting Macca today. I honestly can't defend them as towny, but this feels wrong.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
Like we can not kill today and wouldn't instantly lose, but if we kill a townie it's game over? Right?damo666 wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 7:13 pmEh?kgray wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 7:12 pmAren't we in mylo, not kylo?damo666 wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 2:44 pm

I mean if you're ending because of it, it's kinda sus for you, since you focus on numbers and mechs so much. But mostly I was surprised that had the numbers right (I think?) and you didn't.

Or damo... willing to throw Macca under the bus to get a mis-kill next day?
I really don't think we should be voting Bona.

If Macca isn't scum we have zero chance of winning if they're the DK today. Why do you scumread them? Who else do you scumread and why?Chaqa wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 7:30 pmI think I want to take this one day at a time. I have an idea in my head who the busser(s) might be, but Macca should go first. There's no benefit in not flipping someone today. All we do if we wait is increase the percentage of voting power scum has from 4/10 to 5/9. (about a 15% increase), which is not helpful at all.
