Going back to Chaqa's point made earlier in D4, "I think flipping Maniac would give us the info we need to solve most of this game. If he flips scum, we know that he was saved. If he flips WW, we've removed the WW from the PoE. If he flips town, we know that scum probably were actually either not involved in Day 3 or maybe they were making moves to save celaph or Macca."

I'd like to feel that confident. Would the connection be around (and this is without me looking at voting pages right now but just thinking) who Maniac voted for? Who voted for Maniac? Who avoided voting for Maniac?

I am coming around to that as opposed to Jamie (taking in to consideration your thought that it would be a bad mis-kill today if it were so, AND considering Damo's idea of Town!Maniac leads to DK of Jamie for D5).

Jamiet have been far less noticeable that I expect. I almost only remember him claiming RB N1 and his shenanigans with Maniac. I don't remember Jamiet being so low profile either as town or scum. WW maybe?

Actually this one is very good. This makes my theory weaker but I won't directly eliminate it. Town points for rivera if jamiet is scum and vice versa.

Just reading Yav's progression of thought.
Day 1 considers ghug, kgray, jamiet99uk, celaph as townreads based on old pages (?, old games?). Scum as Bona, foodcoats, brain, damo, myself (and voted for me). Demon was "NAI."

Casts shade on Rivera when they voted for me. Upon Demon's demise, then suggest (hinting, advising?) to Jamie, "I won't be surprised if the scum team is RHK (dead), Brainbomb, Hamilton Brian and two more. What do you think about this Jamie?" Followed up with, "And if I'm right at least with one of brain and HB, kak is probably town."

Why was Jamie a specific question recipient?

So, my conclusion is Yav is as twisted as the rest of us, trying to lockdown on the feels from players.

Kgray had been voting for DemonRHK earlier, left to form a wagon on brain, and came back with just two minutes left and voted DemonRHK. Does this mean she was returning to her original vote to put the finishing touches on a scum-DK, or does it mean she realized DemonRHK was going down and wanted to get town cred?

If I left Demon's wagon to save him, why start a new wagon on brain? Why not join an existing one that was more likely to take off?

Yav's Night 1.

Really on Rivera for possibly bussing so I can't tell if the message is one of exoneration or damning. "Rivera you could have bussed but
1. There was hope to votekill HB over RHK umtil late game
2. It would be super scummy if you moved on RHK minutes before EoD."

Immediately kind of clears me but also posits that I might be WW.

RUns through trying to explain the rationale of Rivera voting for me being scummy when Yav did the same thing (landed on Kak I think) when questioned by kgray.


Nothing really stands out here other than the conversation with kgray. I think they handled it reasonably well, so doesn't read like someone distressed. Low volume the remaining Night so still a solid null vibe.

Agrees with Jamie about Darg's claim being bad strategy. Positive on the desired wagons to be me, Rivera, brain but settles a vote on Maniac.

Ah, this is when they come down as sick, and then reappear with under 3 hours to go in the day.

Scumreading limited primarily to Rivera and Maniac. Votes Rivera; Rivera got "too angry for a town..."

Shoot Celaph if Bona flips town.
Comment on the Worcej wagon is it is scum-motivated. (and probably it was but not sure without looking at it right now. Hindsight with the flip makes it a VERY easy conjecture

And that concludes Day 2. They spend time on the wagons for both of their scumreads. Rivera just lacked the traction as most people were running to Worcej. The impression I get is a synonymity with Jamie in that their version of Maniac is Rivera. What I don't read is an encouraging reason why.

Maybe some light townread for not running with the herd to Worcej?

I'm less confident about Celaph at the moment, but will stay on him. He is right about my fuzzy thought process. I had him as scum based on BB, then when ghug pointed finger at him the only thing I could come up with was he could be WW or had tried to kill WW but how could scum try to kill WW if all their kills went through? So I'm left with staying on Celaph because one of BB and Ghug could have info, but not both of them.

It's really terrible that this is your whole reason to scumread him. A previous post you made included an analysis where you considered factors that weren't brain's read of him and 2/3 of the things you listed there made you lean town on him. This is really lazy.

Yav's Night 2/Day 3

The sole contribution was a message to Chaqa. "This, Mr. Chaqa, is what happens when you vote for someone you townread"

Drops a vote on me due to my shower thought.

Tells Maniac that they're good for a Rivera wagon but that neither Rivera or Maniac voted "townily" If there's one thing to credit them for, Yav us pretty consistent. Almost like that dog that just can't give up a scent.

Does point out that Macca returns after a wagon has been formed on them.

Declares Rivera and Macca are the scum team.

A point of humour when they immediately follow their post with another post insinuating that they scumread their post. Not afraid to make fun of themselves.

The more I read from these Days/Nights, I get the stronger impression that Yav is as confused as most of us. There are times when it feels like they're reaching with vote rationales, but I feel like it's coming from a good place. I can't read anymore right now but I have to think Yav is more town than not.

I’ve been mulling this over and I really disliked kgray’s EOD1 voting, her insistence that she get townie points for it, and her wolfish leap on worcej. And the awkward defences of celaph. I still have to dissect the her flum park yesterday.
