I think using the PRs we have is more important than deducing the setup. We're already down two and I expect you'll soon be dead or RB'd into oblivion, so I think we should use what we can. I'm not convinced knowing the setup is worth it.dargorygel wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 4:31 pmShould we ask the town RBer (if there is one) to NOT RB tonight?
That way (not that they could signal whether they do, of course... but if most in the room wanted it... I'd hope they would choose not to RB) we would see if there is a town RB, and can deduce our setup.
The downside, of course, is that our town RB would not be RBing someone... but this is a worthwhile risk, yes?

What about his continued existence is suspicious?ghug wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 4:33 pmTo be clear, I'm starting to find find darg's continued existence suspicious. It's just the "slip" that's BS.foodcoats wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 1:14 pmI don’t think it’s moronic and I’m willing to reevaluate my stance on darg and ghug given the game state. But I think that if darg is fakeclaiming a counter claim will be made by N4. So I’m also willing to sit on it.Bonatogether wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 1:48 am
Why is it moronic? Is it cause you won't be townclear anymore?
We're not sorting it until there's a janit or a CC though.

When's the last time somebody voted for you?kgray wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 5:14 pmWell I disagree that I've gotten no push, but yeah.foodcoats wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 4:21 pmBasically town should be looking at myself, kgray, Chaqa, ghug, and Kakarroto, who have gotten no push at all yet.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 4:20 pm
Alright, makes sense. Probably be good for us to drop reads with degrees of town/scum and then do some pushing around that on D4.

Generally mafia wants to kill the cop.

Really? How scum fake claiming RBs make sense if they know there is no town RB?foodcoats wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 4:18 pmI agree with your read on Jamie, however...Maniac wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 3:26 pmMy thoughts on Jamie
So Jamie was one of two players Roleblocked on n1. I can't see a situation where mafia don't try and clean up their kill on N1, so the absense of a kill puts damo and Jamie in the frame for being the janitor. If the janitor did visit vecna it would also make sense to roleblock vecna particularly if vecna had crumbed his role, so that would mean one of scum could fake claim roleblock.
More recently Jamie has been high up on the posting chart without really doing anything apart from pushing a lurker to contribute more (so easy for laxy scum to pick on a lurker) and engaging in a spat with me. But how real is that spat? Jamie isn't adverse to calling people names and littering his posts with expletives, and yet he appears to cry like a baby when I jokingly poke fun at him. That just seems faker than a fake barbie wearing a fake smile and a fake rolex whilst faking an orgasm. (Although I hear Ken isn't great between the sheets so you can't blame her for that).
So for being fake and in the frame for the janitor role Jamie is my 2nd scum read. I hope he feels better now I haven't forgotten him.
I think we should be very cautious about drawing conclusions from the RB.
It is possible that there is NO Town Roleblock, the scum know this, and have falsely claimed being TRB'd in order to sow more confusion. We absolutely do not know for certain there even is a TRB. It may seem like a risky play by scum, but it is really not that wild, because town won't know for certain until either WW is killed and we attempt a mass-claim (which in this setup... doesn't even seem very easy or good) or the game ends.
So it is entirely feasible scum is fake-claiming TRBs.
If town kills the Janitor, we have two 50/50 on killing another scum. I wish scum are dumb enough to do this, but it's really, really unlikely.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
Yeah fair, I haven't been a viable wagon. Doesn't mean I've gotten no push at all.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
This is a very lazy take given this setup.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
You've gotten as little push as one could really be expected to get.

I didn't say it was impossible that it could have been TvT, I only said I don't think it was TvT.foodcoats wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 4:23 pmJamie, can you explain with reference to the voting why you think D3 could not have been TvT? I know why you scumread Maniac independently of the votes, but maybe you can weave the narrative for me around how Maniac was scum there.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 3:51 pmWell, I don't think yesterday was TvT.
I am going to keep pushing Maniac's daykill until one of us is dead.
I specifically voted for Flum because I saw a rush on Maniac. So I'm interested in how you perceive that rush - or whatever you might call it, or the general "what happened" at EOD3.
I think we got close to daykilling Maniac, with momentum on his wagon, and then with the two top wagons tied, Fluminator, presumably in a last-minute attempt to obvtown, voted for himself.
What happened from that moment was that Kak's vote on Maniac tied things up again, but at the exact same time, several people reacted to Flum's self-vote as scum-indicative. So the votes moved around at speed and some people were very anxious to avoid a tie.
If it was a TvS EoD and Maniac was saved, I think the greatest suspicion should be directed upon people who moved to Flum "to avoid a tie" when he was already several votes into the lead. Damo looks especially suspect from that perspective.
Kak moving off Maniac onto Macca was also very scummy indeed.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
There are obvious darg-as-cop reasons for it, but it's also what happens if darg as scum, so we have to consider that more and more likely the longer it goes on.

We were assuming that scenario 1 was out of play due to the roleblock claims. That'd be some devious shit knowing there's not a town roleblocker and drop roleblock claims.

I wish I could find the post that suggested killing Darg if they make it past a certain night. I think they're a reasonable wagon for D4.

Kakarroto (haven't seen them around today) had Darg as a top townread but says if Darg is still around D5, kill them. That's not the post I was looking for.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
Alternatively, if Maniac is town, then I think damo is town. When he's scum he's very ambivalent about TvT wagons.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 5:46 pmIf it was a TvS EoD and Maniac was saved, I think the greatest suspicion should be directed upon people who moved to Flum "to avoid a tie" when he was already several votes into the lead. This is true. Of course they can keep RBing me... And perhaps try to kill me. But if I am cop I'm a crick in their craw. The more time that goes on, the possibility that I am lying increases. I expect them to try to NK me, or to push for an unreasonable DK.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
I would very much like to see a Jaime wagon. Jamie is off.kgray wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 4:45 pmI don't disagree with you here but there are also people I'm suspicious of that haven't gotten much pressure (Jamie and yav) and I'd like them in the mix too.foodcoats wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 2:06 pmI’m trying to theory craft a bit on how to win here. I feel like tomorrow’s wagons need to put some fresh meat into the ring or bring more active players under scrutiny. We need something like kgray versus Kakarroto or rdr versus yavu or HB versus Chaqa. If we go after Macca or Maniac I feel like we’re going to end up with still relatively limited information because these players have less activity and have been battling less with the field. (I would also love to see Celaph at the actual end of the day. He’s slipped twice now. But we can come around to him on D5.)
I’m throwing these names out more or less based on nothing. Right now these are all people I’ve been townreading. But the EOD made me feel we were TvT and I think we need something we can argue over more. We need action and high drama; we won’t catch the whole scum team by scraping the bottom of the barrel (...no offense to you scummy types).
To channel my inner worcej, we need to put some strong townies on the block so we can win as a town team in the long run. I think we can afford a higher risk set of wagons tomorrow. If we wait longer we might lose because we will get locked into townreading some strong players who may be strong wolves.

I just answered your fucking question, Foucdoats.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
Sure, but I don't think we're at that point. There are very good reasons for him to still be alive now and I'm sure you're aware of them. I agree that, moving forward, it will be more sus if he's still around. But you shading him at this point feels like you're just encouraging Bona's scumread of him.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
I think we can reasonably discount this theory.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 5:49 pmWe were assuming that scenario 1 was out of play due to the roleblock claims. That'd be some devious shit knowing there's not a town roleblocker and drop roleblock claims.
