Brain, you said you explained it already so I won't belabour you to go over it again.

I associate Chaqa with some atypical plays and lines of thought like what got him voted out last game. I'm not seeing that here for the most part. Perhaps conventional is a better word for that.

VCA from day 1 with no context looks really really good for Celaph yesterday. I think he'd have more defenders if he was scum.
probably it's the first half of D2 then. That was however when people believed "vote for who you want to get shot" and cel only got to 3 votes 2 hours and 20 minutes before 'perceived EoD' or 'ToS'
he only picked up steam afterwards from the vote count on D2, even lost one vote then getting back to three by dargo. Then getting to 4, he lost votes and suddenly maniac was leading at 24 hours, which was the time the shot was about to happen (at least in some minds). And Maniac has been lead until 11 hours, then the ties happened.
so no, I don't get the impression with "looks really really good for Celaph", it more looks like he was defended and maniac was put on the block. I'm not saying that is true, but it was bona who put maniac to 3 (from cel to make a tie with cel), then Jamiet (4), then Chaqa (5). Damo putting him to 6 at 22 hours to go doesn't count for the 'shot' since that was after my reveal.
so if anything, celaph was defended by bona, jamiet and chaqa (don't know why, just with the vote count)
And I think Flum just means that today celaph would have more defenders if he were scum. I'm pretty much the only person defending him, so I agree with Flum's point here. My biggest scumreads aren't on celaph so I don't think scum are pushing him as a miskill, but it seems likely to me they're letting town kill off a townie.
Your D2 analysis is pretty sound, though. I think townies get "saved" on accident all the time, but if celaph does end up being scum then those are good places to start looking. It's also possible that scum knew you didn't have a gun, and the gun deadline vote didn't matter to them.
concerning the 'let town vote off a townie', maybe you're right. well the day isn't over, I'll keep searching. Or maybe, if I don't find mafia, instead of ghug and brain, I just sheep you.

There's 7 of us floating on some lower tier wagons. I'm not prepared to jump yet, but if I were, it'd be to Rivera. I struggle with it because in previous moments, according to my notes, they agreed with brain that damo was scum.
If damo is scum, why aren't we all on that wagon? Rivera is certainly going with their initial read from early on in the game with the current vote.
So who weighs more in eliminating to benefit town? Celaph, Rivera, or Damo? It seems like Maniac has foisted some safety with a couple of brick walls of text. Next time I am scum I'll have to remember that.

It seems like only brain, ghug, HR, Balki, Tom, etc. are allowed to do whacky plays. Not us plebes.

Alright, my wife is almost home. Weather is gorgeous; we're going to sit outside and consume drinks, and I am peppy knowing that I get my first dose of AZ on Sunday. I will be in and out waiting for 5pm.

I think that his erratic involvement is why he's been I found him unremarkable. He wasn't around for EoD1. He didn't really engage in kak's gun waving antics. I would struggle to say that that's alignment indicative so far, but it makes him less connected. What about his RB? Sure he claimed it, but he's done nothing with the information. That said, would I expect him to do anything with the information, not really at this point because he has so little info. So yes, to use your language, I do null him in spite of the things he's done.dargorygel wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 1:02 pm@celaph... what do you mean by referring to Jamie as remarkably forgettable? He has made some pretty markable comments/posts. Do you null him in spite of them? Or didn't they register?
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
Well, I don’t think scum like to directly defend their team usually. And celaph has only been a serious wagon today. Not sure I draw many conclusions yet. Tomorrow we’ll know more.

Jamie continues to be... unJamie-like?
Not sure it is AI.
But the whole RB thing keeps bouncing around in my head. I am not presently voting in a way that regards that issue.
For the future
We might have setup 1 (no town RB, no janitor...)
We might have setup 3 (no doc, no goon...)
We might have setup 4 (no watcher, no driver...)
We might have setup 5 (no journalist, no Godfather...)

FWIW I think the rdr push IS a defence of celaph and/or damo.kgray wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 6:45 pmI think that Flum meant celaph's vote for Demon D1 makes him look really good. Maybe I found him, then, unforgettable because he politely screamed at ME repeatedly and not you? I see Jamie as quieter than normal... but pretty interactive. Although I should have avoided using 'pretty' as an adjective in his case.celaph wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 7:25 pmI think that his erratic involvement is why he's been I found him unremarkable. Bona — As kgray has noted, he’s been attentive and precise. He’s asked good questions and challenged people well. He was on the right wagon D1. My only concern with him is how simple his susses and reads have been. D1 it felt that he townread the people that agreed with him and/or criticized brain. D2 he’s made his vote today about clearing me.
Bonatogether wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 7:54 pmWhat do you mean you found yourself tunneling? You made 1 post on it and spent only 4 hours apparently holding this belief.dargorygel wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 7:45 pmWelk, ok...
My vote on bona I have explained. I thought he over-pushed on the macca defense. But I see that my logical foundation was based on misunderstanding some stuff.
Not sure where to go... I found myself tunneling pretty severely.
Maniac's one post was not maniacal enough though.
