Why would being RBd make me incensed? I rather regard it as an honour.foodcoats wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 2:49 pmGood analysis darg, not things I thought of but this reinforces my scumread on damo. I like that you point out they damo might’ve been more incensed and involved after being RBd but doesn’t seem to have.dargorygel wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 12:54 pmI see no reason for scum to NOT rb the kill. Anyone, convince me otherwise. From a perspective inside the QT. The only reasons given so far are basically, “well, they MIGHT not…”
Some things about damo: (I’m writing this on my phone, in the back of a van fulla students. Forgive my formatting and my ‘page reference’ instead of cut-and-paste.)
Page 81 he deduces which setups are out… based on his rb. His reveal is kinda odd.
Page 106… brain makes a comment with a brain-hint… and damo draws attention to it.
He displays appropriate pressure on my claimthing
Page 109… he throws an unexplained vote on yav, and adds the potential of a rivera vote. Not unlike damo. But not helpful. He later is questioned about rivera, and explains, “POE principally.”
Page 110… he gives a list of six. Then adds two minutes later another candidate. This tastes a little townie, but also fakable.
He also condemns those who are voting for people not on his list. This isn’t necessarily AI. But it seems kind of… closed?
In pages 109? To 111 he has some interaction with/about flum, food, kgray, bona, HB, and me. Seems involved.
On page 110 he also presents a brief PSA about welsh tradition. +1
He votes kak on page 121.
On page 122 he interacts with Jamie about kak-votes.
And then on page 123, he joke-interacts with flum, brain, and Jamie. He votes maniac without any explanation. And goes to bed.
On page 131 he changes back to rdr, and has some discussion about the gunshot escapade. He doesn’t include HIS rollblock in his comments about whether or not the gun was given/fired.
On page 132 he interacts with/about celaph/chaqa/worcej/food and himself.
His kill list remains fairly consistent, if unexplained.
My biggest concern is: the claim, and his unexplained votes. The lack of explanation is pretty much normal damo, iircl.
It seems to me… that if a character were RBed, along with one other (Jamie) AND along with the possibility (likelihood, imo) of Vecna being RBed, that character would be interested in pursuing this topic. He DOES seem to exert some shade on Jamie, but not about this issue. But if he was sent into the trenches with the “claim RB” assignment… he would not want to draw attention to it.
I have been town reading Jamie. He has been in and out of meta. But I lean more suspiciously atm against damo.
I like maniac’s analysis this morning, OTHER than the omission of damo’s claim. I look forward to his adjustment. That’s a pretty big omission.
@damo… why do you think we have so many RB options?
#VOTE DAMO666
More involved? I'm 8th poster of 18 day 2. Hardly uninvolved.
Talking of involvement look at day 2's bottom 5 posters. If there is not AT LEAST 2 scum in there I'd be amazed.

Theres
amatuer scum who panic, bus in the clutch out of fear
novice scum who panic and bus or panic and hop on the cw at an incriminating time
adept scum who dont bus and still look fine
expert scum who bus and their guy doesnt die
and then theres clunky goofballs who land on scum by accident in the frenzy
cagey old veterans who were there from the get go
and lucky bastards

the fact he bussed early, valued his own role over stalker. Shows he had a higher sense of responsibility to team
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
Not interested in taking over this thread again, so here's where I'm at after catching up this morning:
I don't love that Maniac hasn't yet made a post that I've read and hated, because I think he's done that every time he's been town. Otherwise I don't really know what's been so scummy about him. His analysis of the kak vs Hamilton wagons was very similar to what I was thinking about them, but I don't think I get the feeling that he's just mimicking me. But really weird that he addressed Jamie claiming RB but not damo, as others mentioned.
Damo continues to fly below the radar, and I think that's pretty standard scum!damo.
I can't get over Yav's refusal to join Demon's wagon but them him scumreading Rivera for voting *with him* on Hamilton.
Bona's disappeared entirely, and so has my townread of him.
I'm absolutely convinced worcej is scum, and if you just go back and read it's very obvious how he's intentionally manipulating what I said and lying about what happened just to start stuff and distract from the fact that he has (basically) no reads. I was going to try to calmly lay out a case but I can't read through that again atm, and I doubt anyone else wants me to keep talking about it anyway. Plus it seems like his tactic of getting aggressive to get himself townread has worked, so he's not getting traction today regardless.
Brain and kak are clearly town.
Celaph is obviously town, since scum would *never* advise sheeping me. But really, I'm not getting scumvibes from celaph. He was so obviously scummy to me when he was scum and I'm not seeing that here. Also, @brain, I see what you're saying about him feeling like he had to bus Demon when I voted him, but I think it's also possible he just thought I was right? And being hedgy isn't scummy.
I really doubt Macca would stubbornly vote for darg after brain tells them darg's the cop if they're scum. I don't remember them ever really going against the grain as scum, they were generally too timid to even put reads out.

Conspiracy theory me says: Demon is a goner. Scum move to that wagon to cast doubts on the wagon they were on.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
reason to bus increases with value of role. ghug and I have experimented with bussing our best scum roles to mess with towns thought process. it worked great. we both died, and lost badly.
thus ghugs gambit is not yet a common gambit imo. far more common that scum stash their power roles and seek to get cred for them the best

Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
Townread worcej, for having the actually solid idea that darg had to have read the setup and all that
Townread macca off of vibes
brain - eager but wrong in townie ways
scumreading food, for being smart in a very weird way and dumb in a very weird way.
scumreading HR for mushing his group with Chaqa's? Kinda weird since the groups themselves were fine. If HR is scum then there are two or three towns in the smaller group he named (worcej, RDR, macca)
soft scumreading rdr for just not seeming as sly in the way he did in previous games
soft scumreading kgray just for seeming off-beat even though I agree with her on a lot of things. VCA also isn't great.
not sure:
I go back and forth on ghug cause he makes some good points but then goes and does something that makes him look really bad to me. If he's not dead in a while I'm calling this scum.
Chaqa seems different from his last game, but I suppose he'd be like that in all circumstances. Leantown, but if he's not dked soon leanscum
I dunno about kak. The gun business was townie but asking "oh why would I do this if I was scum i'm so town" set off a lot of alarm bells for me.

Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
if this were true he couldve just said his rhk vote was inspired by you. and it wouldve been a very sincere way to dismiss my charge that he panic bought in that you were menacing over rhk

Well done sir. One witty point to you.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
to this point I dont think celaph has credited you with his reason for voting rhk at all. hes been pretty silent on the issue. even in his reads list of you where he has you as top town I dont recall him saying you inspired his rhk push
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
This convinces me I should ISO worcej, though unfortunately I can’t do that before EOD.kgray wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 2:58 pmNot interested in taking over this thread again, so here's where I'm at after catching up this morning:

I like the defenses of Maniac and Celaph.
I'd be voting Damo out of the three, but I think we should wait one more round until we potentially get a better grip on scum roleblocking shenanigans.
##Vote Rdr
Although I think yav is still a good kill, especially if they're replacing out. (Get better soon yav)

I'd encourage yourself, and anyone else, to do it. If anything, someone else reading them might see something I didn't and say, "Yeah, Brian, you're wrong because..." When my logic doesn't run as fast as my gut, I have to rely on some other people.
