@damo, very early on you suggested brain slipped. It was their post of "something something hemingway..." but then you walked it back to wanting to believe it a townslip.
What about it made you initially consider it a scum slip?
You're now saying that brain's list is close to your own. Brain didn't include themselves on their own list, so where would you slot them?

I look at your ISO and everytime I find a post that articulates a position you have — you nullify your own alleged position with a self protecting statementBonatogether wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 12:09 amI do not townread Vecna as strongly as people seem to think. He's more very soft town, but I would use that phrasing regardless of my perception of the other player.yavuzovic wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 11:13 pmThis post makes brain less scummy in my eyes and makes me suspicious about Bona. Like Bone, I townread Vecna too but he assumed that Vecna is town when writing this. Does Bona know who's mafia and who's not? We have the werewolf though. It's still suspicious and I'm fine with switching my vote to Bona. I just need to catch up so I can see the thread clearer.

What have you really liked so far? Who do you townread?Bonatogether wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 12:05 am
I don't like this post because it's unnecessary and unprompted elaboration on someone else's kinda old comment. Bad vibes, really

right ideas such as?Bonatogether wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 1:05 pmSee, celaph gets it. I demoted ghug to mere townlean for right ideas though, if you look at it.celaph wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 5:58 amIt's a confusing way to post this, but the words in the quotes are Bona's thoughts on each quote (best I can tell). If you click on the arrow it leads you to the quote he apparently likes.
The tl;dr for his post seems to be that Bona townreads the people who criticized brain which leaves me feeling icky.

The section "but I would use that phrasing regardless of my perception of the other player" is referring to the "You cannot read anything into it" bit from earlier, and not to the read that I have on Vecna.brainbomb wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 1:53 pmI look at your ISO and everytime I find a post that articulates a position you have — you nullify your own alleged position with a self protecting statementBonatogether wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 12:09 amI do not townread Vecna as strongly as people seem to think. Such as that macca's alignment is not determined by their first post.brainbomb wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 1:56 pmright ideas such as?Bonatogether wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 1:05 pmSee, celaph gets it. It was neither a townslip nor a scumslip as brain explained referring to the set up thread.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 1:47 pm@damo, very early on you suggested brain slipped. For the time being I put brain as overwordy town. If he's scum he'll panic and expose himself (if you pardon the expression).

why dont you just talk about vecna? why does it have to be about you and your convoluted perception.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
randomly throwing out names and assigning them alignments is just about as meaningless as it gets

Why would you hammer? Didn't you say that we need to establish reads on people as soon as possible?

Thanks for explaining; yeah, I feel more the other direction, but I'll work it out like this on the page to dissuade myself.
Brain's flow of communication is pointed at specific people with a buckshot approach; verbose, but again scattered all over the place. Maybe it's due to who's on at the time? Big air time with Bona and I still need to dig into that to see which side of the argument I'll fall on. Is it helping town at all? I don't feel like it is, but brain exposing themselves by communicating so much would likely get them caught, so I think the smart scum play wouldn't be to write so much.
See? I talked myself out of it. I need to go back to check the game we were scum together. Low-town to null. I doubt I would vote them today.

I feel like brain's hammer is equivalent to the kid that throws a firecracker in the middle of the classroom.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
What did you want him to do, keep insisting on an argument that'd been proven false? What was different about how he backed out of his vote compared to what food did?ghug wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 4:52 amThat he's looking to follow on a wagon?
I legitimately like the Maniac vote as much as I can like any vote day one. Darg's votes are unimpressive but not completely out of character. I'm more concerned with the way he walked back the Bona vote when it became clear his logic was backwards.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
Weak.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
It's not about being inflammatory or complimentary, I'm just saying it's a bad way to play the game.
