Thanks.brainbomb wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 2:07 pmI see why you say its NAI. but it isnt. Macca fake excitement is fairly noticeable. they didnt front load the post with excitement. it was an afterthought for macca they needed to be happy to be town. which town macca doesnt need to pepper into a post late in a paragraph.
To be clear, this is when macca was scum 2 games ago. this game macca is town

(What this whole debacle has actually done is make me very self-conscious about my exclamation mark use. They might drop off a bit)

not seem NAI? Does this make you town or scum read me? I can see a (very flimsy) line for scum, but it's bad either way.

I'll post this, but not much else for a while. Best of luck!Bonatogether wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 3:07 pmWell Macca will hopefully post something other than their opening post, so we don't need to rely on that one thing for our read. We don't need to get a quick read on everyone as soon as we possibly can, but rather get an accurate read on them and figure out where they are in relation to other people.brainbomb wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 2:36 pmlisting someone as town based on patterns in behavior is a really quick way to sort things in large games where we dont always have enough content to go with even by mid game. we need to use every meta data point we can and use logical inferences along the way to lift our lowest hardest to read players out of questionable status into slight townleans or town so it makes the game easier. use every tool possible and hope you dont gloss over something carelessly along the way. pray you dont rely too much on diatribes or bad meta.
I dont feel I am wrong here. based on the evidence.
if you were town here youd see the urgency and immediacy of wanting to establish our weakest links as town based on any options on the table that accurately tell the tale

Bonatogether wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 12:11 amThen they should be aware of what they're typing before they send it. Macca's pretty smart and I figure that they do reread their posts.brainbomb wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 11:45 pmthis is completely untrue. and if anything this is the reason why scum mess up most often. alot of players hit submit without rereading. and it bites them in the ass as scum. not everyone is careful. this has never been true.Bonatogether wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 2:20 pm
Scum players are always (or should always be) self-aware of what their posts look like.
One of these things is true.

Agreed, very strange post from Bona.ghug wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 5:01 amWhy are you falsely ascribing quotes to me? Why are you posting a series of celaph quotes with no words? Stop being weird.Bonatogether wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 4:00 amCelaph:Bonatogether wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 3:46 am
Well for starters you all agree that the votes on me were dumb lol. I'll try and dig some more specific stuff in a bit.I could go on, but this is absolutely classic town!celaph.
kgray:ghug:on reread ghug does a fair amount of echoing kgray (especially pretty recently) I'm not as sure about him anymore, but still townlean him.

I'm going to pretend I planned that, but I actually wrote the responses in the opposite order than which I posted the (not planned, just happened).
Or is the joke you're referring to the space before the exclamation marks? (I didn't think it was that funny... but you never know)

Also
##CALL GM
I will be away for near all of N1. Do I have to meet the 1 post requirement? If yes, I'll make a pointless post in the early morning (at least for me).
I'll also be out until the second half of D2. You all were warned before I joined.
If you don't respond within the hour (fair enough), I will have gone to sleep, and will go with the "yes" plan.
Have a good one!

well, I need to go now, if I don't get out early (which I doubt since that's rarely and I'm closing late shift today) I'll miss EoD. Still my best guess right now is dargo.
Also, I don't understand that one:
Wagon # Voters
Maniac (4) ghug Vecna dargorygel Jamiet99uk
I mean sure, we know so little about maniac that he could be mafia, but what other information would we get? And what if he's town? Normally, I like to vote lurkers to force them to participate more but this develops in something different. (also I'd feel maniac more town than mafia personally, just for the record if my input is of any value to you all. Then again, I think there was a game where I thought maniac was town and made that statement loudly and fought against the D1 just to see he was mafia ... or was that captainmeme? It was long ago, one of my first if not the first game here.)
And most important the last point: HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAMIET hope you have fun and enjoy your time! Party to your hearts content!

Ooh, mustn't forget. I need a vote.
So far, I'm not a big Ghug or Bona fan. Considering Bona already has a vote (and that I don't think anyone agrees with the ghug bit) ##VOTE Bona .
I'm towning kgray and bb, but I do that every game, so take little notice.

Yeah, I was in the pub over the weekend, it was nice.

-I've definitely done it for Chaqa twice.rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 1:34 amYes, because scum always made a hard defense of his teammates D1 with no real pressure.foodcoats wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 2:34 pmThis looks like some classic TvT to me. But it is also interesting that Bona wants to defend Macca so hard... I would expect town to flip it and say brain is scum fabricating a reason to vote, rather than defending.brainbomb wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 2:28 pmThis is a scumtell from you bona. for a number of reasons.
but the most important reason is that you are fighting tooth and nail to keep a player as a null when you should be seeking to prove that player is town or scum by any means necessary.
this arbitrary use if logic and judgement mirrors how you played as scum in m64 where you would argue just for the sake of asinine page filling arguments.
##vote bona
Macca and Bona scum team?
##VOTE bonatogether
Are you for real? This try hard feels really scummy.
-I believe I am real.
-I feel town.
P.S. This is no longer deeply relevant because I had completely misread the interaction between brain and bona re: Macca.

Not a great reason to think anyone is town but hes happy, hes active, hes voted half the players and is about as reckless and uncautious as you can be
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
dargo is not in the group of players I'd vote for today. I'd say he's pretty nullish. I think dargo, like me, is prone to making mistakes and carrying them away (as both alignments), so the fact he and I erred on the same thing doesn't tell me anything either way.
