Why would scum!bona go out on a limb to defend town!Macca???Vecna wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 3:35 pmWhy is town wrongfully defending scum more common than scum white knighting though?Chaqa wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 2:51 pmScum tick. If you think player X is scum defending scum player Z, you should vote Z first, because X could be town defending scum incorrectly. Logically you should want to vote Macca, not bona.foodcoats wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 2:34 pm
This looks like some classic TvT to me. But it is also interesting that Bona wants to defend Macca so hard... I would expect town to flip it and say brain is scum fabricating a reason to vote, rather than defending.
Macca and Bona scum team?

Hmmm. Surprising he didnt pose the same counter-question as me.foodcoats wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 3:05 pmThat's actually a very interesting point. I hadn't considered that. I didn't find Macca's posts very interesting and had kind of "forgotten" them; it was bona that was "before my mind." In retrospect, Macca's posts were a little fluffy, as Macca dwelled on the flavour. Which is what I accused celaph of and linked to scumliness. So, hm.Chaqa wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 2:51 pmScum tick. Macca and Bona scum team?

Yeah, a good point, and I accept my flawed logic. Chaqa is Lord of Deduction for today.
bona still seems a good vote to keep a wagon.
LET'S SEE SOME MORE VOTES FROM THE PEANUT GALLERY PLOX AND THOX.
Does town question the logic of chaqas argument easier? Because scum white knighting should be such an easy rebuttal here

Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
Macca opens with some weak post.
Brain accuses macca of opening with some weak post.
(This is pretty normal drive by brain stuff. Macca had not written enough to cause a disertation. Brain did not write one. Just scatter shot)
Bona went overboard defending macca.
If macca is scum, we could see bona as defending, and vote macca.
But we don't see enough from macca to even guess
So.
I find bona suspicious for his over the top defense.
Not sure yet what to think of macca.
But bona could be setting up a "look good" if macca flips town.
I can go here.

Regardless of whether or not Vecna is town, there's no basis for making a read off of it.![]()

I feel like you're throwing some unnecessary shade my way. But when you put it that way, I kind of see how dumb and anti-town an idea it is. Never mind.Chaqa wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 3:34 pmAh, trying the "2 scummy 2 be scum" strategy.Hamilton Brian wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 3:23 pmLet me just put this out there because I am curious... is there value to doing any role claims now? The problem with this is that I am not claiming macca is town but that their first open is not alignment indicative.dargorygel wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 3:40 pmMacca opens with some weak post.

it was ghug who accused macca of a scummy opening post. not me.
bona replied to ghug no its NAI and ghug accepted that answer without much discussion.

@brain
You seem to have a dislike of kpop and I would dare guess boy bands in general.
Tell me why.
Also I likely overstated my focus on playing PoE. I'm only like level 22 in the new league. I've got a lot on my plate but I'm still gonna try to Bone this Scone.Yeet this yeast. To be fair given my normal level of participation that's a low ass bar to clear (as you saw after kgray's death in our mason game)
On a more serious note I'm not a fan of Bona's whole nullread arguement. It made more sense on clarification but that can be a revisionist backtrack as well. In a game where we need to focus on people's reads and case rather than mechanical narrowing, at least while our furry neighbor still breathes, more data is always better. It's why is was a bit shocking when there hasn't been quite the usual D1 sprint, though we are looking to get there.

Its kinda weird you do this for celaph but cling vehemently to your NAI stance on macca. can you explain why you treat celaph entirely different than macca?
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
without fact checking ghug accepted it out of hand, this point is getting lost in the bona discussion that is all stemmed from macca as a fulcrum.
Re: MAFIA 66: The Battle for Olympus - Game Thread [hidden]
this exchange alone does not seem NAI to me at all. Macca is trying to understand what the bad guys flavor is and kak is offering clarity on itMacca573 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 19, 2021 12:18 amYeah, but the minor gods are assisting the titans.

This seems like t-t discussion. even though its mostly flavor banter
