Ok, so Maniac is cleared of being alien, and he's either not infected or you're the alien.

Non-infected or Not Infected or Not alien or whatever you want that is the count of those alive who are neither alien or infected.ghug wrote: ↑Tue Mar 23, 2021 11:54 pmWhat is N?damo666 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 23, 2021 11:47 pmCurrent count
T M A A&I N
6 2 1 5 4 (presumably)
scum allow my miskill
5 2 1 4 4
N6 scum kill town infectee
4 2 1 3 4
but alien infects so
4 2 1 4 3 alien wins
So scum must NK/target alien
5 2 1 4 4
but alien infects
5 2 1 5 3 alien wins
SCUM HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO TELL US WHO ALIEN IS SINCE THEY KNOW I AM TOWN
Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
Yes
Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
If you are town you will quickly agree with this and comply.
It works even if I'm the alien!
And as proved before scum can't afford to frame me.
Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
I'll do this if it's what we're doing, but I don't think it's likely to work.
Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
Come on people. Work it out.
Self vote and blackmail scum into revealing who the alien is.
Rocket science it is not.

Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
Why not? If scum do not reveal it is alien auto victory.ghug wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 12:02 amI'll do this if it's what we're doing, but I don't think it's likely to work.
Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
@rdr @Maniac (and presumably @Jamie)
as non aliens please follow my logic through and join me in self vote to get the ball rolling

There's no way you don't see that this is a symmetrical game of chicken. It strikes me more as a hail-mary to create chaos in the hopes that you'll be able to swing the vote at the end.
Let's put in a good faith effort as town to catch the alien, and trust that scum will out in self-preservation if we're getting it wrong, rather than waste our time on gimmicks.
Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
As someone who is quite logical this makes you look VERY alien/scumghug wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 12:07 amThere's no way you don't see that this is a symmetrical game of chicken. It strikes me more as a hail-mary to create chaos in the hopes that you'll be able to swing the vote at the end.

As someone who's quite logical, I don't think a team of six who are still trying to find each other are going to beat a team of two in a game of coordinated chicken. Town will blink first, so we might as well blink now, use the time to work, and create a scenario where scum have to blink if we're getting it wrong.damo666 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 12:11 amAs someone who is quite logical this makes you look VERY alien/scumghug wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 12:07 amThere's no way you don't see that this is a symmetrical game of chicken. Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
I asked who he investigated and what the result was, and if there was anything else he wanted to tell town.Vecna wrote: ↑Tue Mar 23, 2021 11:33 pmHey fox, what about the part of bona claiming his item was not stolen? How would he know? Didnt the gm confirm people dying were not informed if their item was stolen?
Thoughts on that statement? I believe you only got to ask a question and receive a basic answer right? Slightly more info?
I believe ND's clarification was that (implicitly living) players were told their item was stolen at the start of the day, which I assume means as part of the EON process.
##CALL GM: Since the Item Thief operates prior to the NK in the order of operations, would a dead player be able to report whether their item was stolen to the shaman?

You're actually buying the rd crap and ignoring multiple days of spearheading the alien search?Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 12:15 amCurrent reads:
Scum: Foxcastle and Maniac
Alien: Ghug or Damo

If I were alien then scum would presumably call my bluff before EOD if needs be.ghug wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 12:07 amThere's no way you don't see that this is a symmetrical game of chicken. I could be scum setting up a quasi town clear for myself while my partner reveals the alien.
Or I could be infected town surprsie, surprise.
In any case it works and in no case can it be a ploy as you decribe.
