Cool! Thanks for the answer!Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 2:19 pmNo, the Paranoid version of the Deputy gets the same result, no matter what.
This is pretty standard for Paranoid Cops.

All of the above are indeed correct by my read through.ghug wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 12:34 amd) He's the scum role that scans innocentBonatogether wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 12:32 amc) Thamrick is scum and the mafia framer guy guessed right.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 12:30 am
Oh what?
Crumbs.
Then either:
(a) Thamrick is town, or
(b) You are the Paranoid Deputy
But for now ##Unvote

Mistakes happen indeed.ND wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 12:37 am##GM NOTE##
I apologize, but I made a mistake on my end for the night adjudication. I have been asked to clarify this here by the player who ordered the scan investigation during night #2. I have already told the player privately this, but will repeat it here.
Mistakes happen. I was juggling something like 10 PM's, multiple qt closures, and other issues and messed up.
The player that was scanned, scanned as AREA 51 during Night 2. I apologize for the confusion.
Ugh, I feel dirty... but this mistake probably happened because of an obscure rule interaction. I could get sending the PM to the wrong person, but content issues usually occur when shenanigans occurs.

I keep re-reading this as "Mafia Farmer".Bonatogether wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 12:32 amc) Thamrick is scum and the mafia framer guy guessed right.
You are the Mafia FARMER.
You have a farm.

I wasn't going to, but I will now. It's between Tham and BB...

If you see this, explain how me wanting the herb to be used instead of lost to scum makes me scum.rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 3:15 amMy first tendency is to vote Fox, but it seems that he is already a runaway wagon.
I still think Worcej could be scum, he double down on killing lfischl being the right move and said he is cum reading anyone who didn't vote lfischl.
I am also really worried that Ghug could be playing a low profile scum or alien game.
And Maniac is just coasting and Brain isn't obvtowning as he usually does.
And Jasnah was scum reading Vecna last night, which I also could see doing a SxS theater with Bunny.
And I am entering paranoia mode. Will sleep and try to re-read Bunny.
For now, ##vote Foxcastle
I'm kinda at a loss on this one.
Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
TBF, and give me a second.
*places tinfoil hat on head*
The alien is just as likely to use the gun to garner town-cred. Just because he shot a confirmed scum, doesn't make him not scum.
Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
How is it bad play when the day results in the same exact scenario?Maniac wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 8:27 amI don’t know what you’ve heard, but it’s bad advice.
If you had are town with a gun and have two strong scum reads a 100% on bunny and 70% on someone else. Shoot the someone else and let Bunny be daykilled. That way two big scum reads die. Now you have to press for a daykill on you’re 70% scum read and scum can influence and block that kill.
Shooting confirmed scum is just bad play. But we are where we are. Who are your top scum reads?
Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
This is pretty far fetched and would require too much assumptions to be real.Vecna wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 10:08 amOk, I had another out there theory that scum couldve figured out that their gunman was controlled by the alien and that they wanted to bus him convincingly, but the role actually describes that scum can just circumvent it by having someone else carry out the kill.
Interestingly enough, according to the gunman PM, he is the one that learns the identity of the janitored kill. Itd be interesting if it turns out thats why people did not want us to kill him instantly, since bunny wasnt around just after EoD.
He mightve just posted the result in the scum PT without us knowing ofcourse, but I doubt bunny couldve resisted typing anything in the game thread after being caught.
Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
If this list is only for traditional scum, I agree.damo666 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 10:13 amFrom mpov the 4 remaining baddies are in
brain
Fox
ghug
Maniac
rdr
Vecna
Worcej
Four of the 6 who aren't Fox are voting Fox so I am going to read this as a town indicator for Fix and limit my vote to one of those 4 Fox voters, namely ghug, brain, rdr and Maniac.
Brain wasn't voting Fox yesterday so I'll eliminate him (despite his wobbling around like blancmange on a sea of Tizer giving me bad vibes).
I'm lightly townreading rdr which leaves me ghug and Maniac. I have my suspicions about ghug but I think Maniac ultimately likely to gain more traction and he is equally sus so
##vote Maniac
But Alien is still around and celaph and Bob are a part of that list. Alien's wincon is starting to get dangerously close.
Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
Glad to see Vecna and myself are on the same page here.Vecna wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 10:55 amEspecially if Brainbomb is scum, dont complete discount the more out there strategies to mislead us into falsely clearing someone.
Alien and scum couldve also received the 2nd gun or the nightvision goggles. Using the gun in this way wouldve been really ballsy (and probably really bad seeing how it could be used during the day to kill the alien I think).
I really think this is exactly how either alignment wouldve used the nightvision goggles. Well, not literally use it like that as scum, obviously theyd try to fish for PR's, but whenever it was bussing time, they definitely would just make this claim.
Thats not saying that it is what I THINK happened. Celaph has been decently close to his town meta. I wouldnt say I have a lock townread on him though.
Just something to keep at the back of our minds.
Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
I like this plan. Great work here damo. high amounts of /sdamo666 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 11:23 amSo Thamrick CAN have been jailed alien.
And a likely source of GM error (sorry GM but it happened).
If jailer jailed Thamrick I propose they confess thus sacrificing 1 sum member to identify and get rid of the alien.
Scum get even have any member confess, doesn't have to be the jailer.

The fact you're putting so much time into this is starting to make me go

Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
With foxcastle on this one - use the shot to kill 100% scum is always the best play.Foxcastle wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 1:20 pmThis is inane.Maniac wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 8:27 amI don’t know what you’ve heard, but it’s bad advice.

If you shoot someone else, you learn nothing about how others would have voted for them, or who they would have pushed instead, or who would have tried to save them. You've effectively given scum cover and prevented town from hunting. And then everyone piles on the known scum for the day vote, and hey, whaddya know! You learn nothing from that either. This approach zeroes out any useful information for town and helps scum avoid doing anything to out themselves during the day.
Bob did the right thing, and I think he's town for it. If scum had been given the M16 at the start of game, they'd use it to shoot a townie and never claim it, and I think in this game they seem like they would been likely to use it (like they did the ray gun) on D1 to create confusion and give themselves a big head start.

I mean, Vecna was in a Vecna-spiral of theory crafting when he said that.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Mon Mar 15, 2021 1:36 pmWow Brainbomb in a really bad mood for no apparent reason after Town finally killed scum. Super weird.
