ill get to your lfischl question later because it requires searching which i dont feel like right now
how about you start making actual contributions instead of pretending to be helpful
and also give me your actual scumreads list instead of deflecting back to me all the time
i skimmed his iso just now and there was nothing
surface level grammar nazism
surface level mechanics
one liners
more one liners
so many one liners
saying hi multiple times
there was nothing remotely substantial

@HR, lfischl, Celaph, Bona, BobMcBob: You are currently all in a classic full-press Diplomacy game which Kgray is also playing in. Has Kgray exchanged press with any of you within the last 12 hours or so?

No way HR or Bona would save me, not a fucking chance, both of those would decide it was more fun to bus me 10 times out of 10 and be laughing all the way to my early grave right now. I don't have the faintest idea how thamrick plays and I doubt even an enthusiastic scum would be able to fabricate evidence linking us as a team![]()

ghug gives celaph a bigtime pass hereghug wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 1:05 amSo, D1 was either:
a) a TvTvT waste. In this case it's maybe worth looking at wagons that didn't materialize (all the high schoolers, strangely, and Vecna, who acts like one), but mostly it just sucks.
b) a jasnah save. This one's my favorite, at least pre-writing. First votes on jas were Chaqa/damo/bona/Fox, which put her tied for first, with only a Fox vote on Vecna in between (Jamie was in the lead here, so this could point to a Jamie/Fox team). This put her into a tie with Chaqa and Jamie. lfischl put Chaqa back ahead, emc tied it. Celaph put her in the lead, bona moved to tie it as he does. Brain put Chaqa in the lead. Bona moved back to tie it. Bunny and celaph moved to Jamie (putting him back in the running) and Chaqa (putting him in the lead) respectively. I moved to jasnah to tie it. Then thamrick jumps on Chaqa, Riot jumps on Jamie, and bona moves to tie again, making it 7-7-5. I, emc, and damo then pile on Chaqa in that order. In this scenario, I think damo, Fox, emc, and I look good (I always look good), emc and bona could go either way, and lfischl, brain, Bunny, thamrick, and Riot look bad. The fact that that many people would look bad makes me think there was a save involving a couple of scum and a couple of unwitting town.
c) a Jamie save, here I look pretty bad because I broke the tie. All those early voters on jasnah look not great, especially Fox because he also briefly tried to make Vecna competitive. Fischy still looks bad, brain too, maybe celaph, thamrick. Riot looks good, Bunny looks good. Bona's still hard to read based on the VCA, but probably a little better because he ended up killing the jasnah wagon to force a tie between Chaqa and Jamie.
d) a double save. lfischl, brain, thamrick, maybe me look bad here. Fox, emc, damo, Bunny, HR all look pretty good. Probably Bona too, as he only voted Chaqa early in the day.

Those of you who have not been disintegrated by otherworldly technology, are you planning to vote? Will you be on at EoD?

My shitty analysis of the wagons:
- Chaqa's wagon is based in large part on the whole 'flip me tomorrow' idea and has garnered some attention based on punishing him. I do believe he is being honest with his opinion on sucking early game (most people do) and his value being better later in the game. For now, I town!lean him simply because I don't think he's this ballsy as scum - his normal scum game (to me) is to appear so obv!town and this isn't that.
- jasnah's personality is so awesome and I hope she plays here forever more. The scum slip catch by bona is incredibly weak, however Fox beat me to it already with the fact the response from her was scummy. In general, a null lean from me.
- Jamie's wagon is at least one joke vote from me, but I do find something of interest: normally Jamie pounces on these dumb scumslips and uses all sorts of fonts and colors to make everyone aware of it, but this time all he did was go ""OOoooooooh" and then focus back on my vote. I don't like the lack of freak out and blatant yelling about the slip.
- Bunny and brain have shit votes, especially the OMGUS from Bunny. The end.

the obvious question here isbrainbomb wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 1:35 pmhow is this different than ghug, bunny, or HR
why are you defending bonas right to not make contributions to the game just because other people arent doing much?
there is still reason enough to pressure him for input even if other people arent especially when he was asking so many questions
and also ghug and bunny both gave off more substantive vibes at least on recall if nothing else
Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
Why would TvTvT be unlucky? It happens all the time on here on D1. I think it's an error in thinking that there was meaning to the outcome of the Day when so often scum are sitting back and letting town trip over itself (which is just going to be the way Day 1 usually goes, so that's not a criticism of town).damo666 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 9:57 amWe would be quite unlucky for it to be TvTvT. I am
jasnah, maniac, vecna, damo, worcej
maniac for being so unnoticeable
vecna for a lot of little things (like saying the alien role is really strong, but next post saying he hadn't read the setup, and then *next* post giving detailed info about infections and them spreading)
damo for not doing or attempting to do anything
worcej for various interactions that could concievably be svs with jasnah

Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
Not especially. As scum I usually had a reason to back up whatever off-the-wall thing I came up with (even if it was wrong). As town I base more things off intuition.
Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
It doesnt matter if Vecna is scum because hes just that good?
wtf?
Re: Mafia 65: Dreamland II [Hidden]
Because D1 is more valuable when people are spread out across multiple wagons rather than converging on two and I wanted to keep the Jasnah wagon as an option for people to move onto if there were last minute shifts. I didn't think Chaqa was scum, and I had thought Jamiet could be scum, but that EOD made me think that was unlikely.
