been doing some thinking about alien and I feel like thamrick, bunny, ghug, worcej, foxcastle, chaqa, damo, rdrivera, jasnah, HR, Maniac, all fit the alien or scum range so far.

What is the alien scum range in your mind? I'm hesitant to ask for justifications on all these people, but do you have examples of why these people fit the category?

I think if the alien played tryhard they would get caught very fast. I think alien would lurk heavily and only minimally anger scum or draw attention from town.

why particularly would alien get caught from tryhard?

Tonight I'll use my item. It will be very useful to town, and then I can give my info and not get sussed out for the rest of the game by being flipped then. I will have thus provided town with maximum utility from my presence and role/item as well as having to put in minimal effort.

The former, but it's usually stupid. People fail to realize that anyone willing to put effort into crumbing a role as town can also put effort into crumbing roles as scum. It's also really easy to be too obvious and get caught by scum.

It's arguably more worthwhile for people whose claims are going to involve outing specific info (cops), since it's hard for scum to set up a claim like that well in advance that has the same utility in the moment.
