Re: Mafia 1016: America's Past-Crime [HIDDEN]
I have not done the math, but it seems clear that we should vote from the five. Otherwise brain's question is wasted?
Re: Mafia 1016: America's Past-Crime [HIDDEN]
I think you are, actually. But you fooled me last game so I have to be at least somewhat suspicious of you...
Re: Mafia 1016: America's Past-Crime [HIDDEN]
I think it wouldn't be wasted, since it could be useful later. But I guess my issue with voting in that five is, how long does that last? If it's only one scum in that group we could be restricting ourselves to a pool with a lot of town and it could take a while to hit scum.dargorygel wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 3:25 amI have not done the math, but it seems clear that we should vote from the five. Also this is very normal town!Rivera, I think.rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 2:21 amWell, this is a pretty bad start for town. A town DK and a lame question. I don't know what is acceptable for the GMs, but the group of three idea was better and Bozo suggestion was a lot better

We're not shooting randomly in the group of 5 - we're voting who we think is scum.kgray wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 3:27 amI think it wouldn't be wasted, since it could be useful later. In the group of 5, it's the person who I view as most likely to be scum.dargorygel wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 3:53 amYou did not vote for durga at all yesterday, bona... What draws you there, now?

Do you think she is the most scummy?dargorygel wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 3:53 amYou did not vote for durga at all yesterday, bona... What draws you there, now?
Re: Mafia 1016: America's Past-Crime [HIDDEN]
Well yeah, but still. It's either 1 to 3 out of 5, or 3 out of 11, right? So... without knowing how many scum are in the Jamie voters, it's hard to say what gives us a better shot at hitting scum.Bonatogether wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 3:38 amWe're not shooting randomly in the group of 5 - we're voting who we think is scum.kgray wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 3:27 amI think it wouldn't be wasted, since it could be useful later. Regardless, I agree we should vote for who we think is scummiest, and it's even better if that person ends up in that group of 5 (well, 4, but whatever).

Why though?dargorygel wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 3:53 amYou did not vote for durga at all yesterday, bona... What draws you there, now?
Re: Mafia 1016: America's Past-Crime [HIDDEN]
To be honest I’d rather vote between you, Durga and vecna opposed to including celaph and bona. Apart from the confusing Durga vote, I think they are more likely town than scum, but it could be either of them.kgray wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 3:56 amWell yeah, but still. Aye... I would guess that. But what makes durga the scummiest?Bonatogether wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 3:56 amIn the group of 5, it's the person who I view as most likely to be scum.dargorygel wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 3:53 amYou did not vote for durga at all yesterday, bona... Wait how did I do this again? I meant to quote the response:kgray wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 3:58 amWhy though?dargorygel wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 3:53 amYou did not vote for durga at all yesterday, bona... What draws you there, now?

Re: Mafia 1016: America's Past-Crime [HIDDEN]
We don't know if the proportion of scum inside the group of 5 is different from than the group, so not until late game (when, in theory, most of the group of 5 has flipped, and a lot of other people besides) is the group of 5 useful for scumhunting. Quick math (assuming equal proportions) suggests that 1 scum in the group is the most likely, but we won't know until we've flipped a lot of people.
Re: Mafia 1016: America's Past-Crime [HIDDEN]
What do you mean by the "confusing Durga vote" and can you please give some insight into *how* you're deciding who's scummy and who's towny, rather than just saying someone is more likely town than scum?lfischl wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 4:00 amTo be honest I’d rather vote between you, Durga and vecna opposed to including celaph and bona. celaph hasn't been really doing much, but their tone is good and I've done well there beforedargorygel wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 4:02 amAye... I would guess that. kgray feels like kgray from previous games (i've never played with scum!kgray, though), so while I'm not gonna bet anything on it, I think she's town
vecna went for jamie pretty aggressively, which I don't see scum doing unless they think they can get an easy miskill (admittedly not impossible here)
durga hasn't done anything and doesn't feel like durga from previous games (again, I've never played with scum!durga)
