Re: Mafia 1016: America's Past-Crime [HIDDEN]
my rvs on kgray comes from being in a game where we knew each others alignment. immediate pressure on her was definetely essential because we worked well together last game as partners. I think it is a recipe for success to have established an understanding of kgray early. I would not want to ignore her and I assume she would want me to be town so we can work together.
I wasnt satisfied enough after rvs and her two nothing posts to move my vote

In fact we have something more or less like it that is played with colored balls in the sand, don't know how it's called in English, in Portuguese it's called bocha.

Ah, we call that game "bowls" although we play it on grass. The French game "pétanque" is also very similar.rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 4:17 pmIn fact we have something more or less like it that is played with colored balls in the sand, don't know how it's called in English, in Portuguese it's called bocha.

It is now page 11.Durga wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 1:43 pmWoops, sorry let me post my manifesto of thoughts on the 4 page game rnJamiet99uk wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 1:33 pmDurga's contributions to the game so far:
1. Complaining about the [HIDDEN] tag.
2. Complaining about the colour of some text.
3. That's all.
Tell us your thoughts, oh Durgalady.

I don't think it factored into people's reads. The point was that if they were town then obviously that helps scum find PRs.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 3:45 pmDid that help identify them? It looks like both of their roles did have night actions.kgray wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 3:36 pmHe mentioned that celaph and Maniac were reading/writing PMs at EON, which implied they were PRs with orders to send to the GMs.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 3:32 pm
I read the post game comments and you and ghug said something about not thinking what BunnyGo did was appropriate, and I did not know what you were referring to, other than something about the online status, but it seemed to be related to Jamie's suggestion to get rid of the "Who is Online" option.
This is such a weird conversation for you to be having.

Bozo, rather than talk about the previous actions of someone who is now the co-GM in this game, in the last game, could you talk about the players in this game instead? Finding BunnyGo's alignment is not our task today.

I think I've nominated you to be my spokesperson before! But you're right, usually it's the other way aroundrdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 3:45 pmI never played curling (no ice here), it's probably funny as you say. But watching it at Winter Olympics is painfully boring (almost as boring as baseball).kgray wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 3:01 pmRivera is officially NOT my spokesperson this game. Curling isn't boring at all! It's silly and hilarious.rdrivera2005 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 2:55 pm
I don't think curling was ever played here in Brasil. I just thought on the second most boring game I can remember....
This said, I always thought YOU was MY spokesperson and not the contrary.

ifischl just does things different. he participates in my rpg sporadically.
Re: Mafia 1016: America's Past-Crime [HIDDEN]
I really appreciate you trying to get people to play Jamie. Please do not think I do not appreciate the things you are doing. I feel strongly enough that you are town that it directly is influencing my vecna scrumread

Re: Mafia 1016: America's Past-Crime [HIDDEN]
Why do you think that? If it is something that could still be taken advantage of in this game, then it is not an "out of game" thing, like you previously said. If the scum could try to identify the PRs in this game by monitoring who is writing PMs, the PRs should be aware of that.kgray wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 4:28 pmI don't think it factored into people's reads. Re: Mafia 1016: America's Past-Crime [HIDDEN]
I guess I just don't see *why* you think it's really sketchy. I think it'd have been more sketchy if he did move his vote so quickly after I made so few posts.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 4:05 pmYou're so negative. You should try to receive all phenomena with equanimity.
To re-state what I said before, I didn't like the fact that Brainbomb voted you, and then, after that, said that he didn't have a solid scumread on you. At the same time, he kept his vote on you. That looked really sketchy to me, and I called it out. It's not much but it was page 3 or 4 of the game and not much else had happened worthy of comment.

I think we established that abusing the messaging system would lead to a mad gm. my advice is to send orders to ghug on discord. hes not that hard to find.

Re: Mafia 1016: America's Past-Crime [HIDDEN]
I like this idea as QA could rearrange the groups while he is still alive. It could become even better if we catch one scum as if one group have more scum it means the remaining two scum are there. Depending on the size of the group it's autowin.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 4:02 pmThis is quite a good idea too, Bozo.bozotheclown wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 3:24 pmI agree damo's suggestion is better than using the Asker as a cop.Jamiet99uk wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 1:14 pm
The problem with using it as a one-shot Cop is that it gives you a 50/50 trade of a Town PR for either a single Scum Guilty or Town Clear, and nothing more.
Damo's proposed question could provide the following results, among others:
1. In the best possible outcome, it could provide three townclears, which in a game of this size would be very powerful indeed for Town
2. Or, if the answer is "yes" that there is at least one scum in the given pool of three, this means that Scum effectively cannot kill the 1 or 2 townies in that pool, because if they do so, they will out their team-mate.
Another possibility is to divide the 12 remaining players into 2 groups of 6, and ask "are there more scum in group 1 than group 2". This could solve the game late in the game when 1 or 2 scum have been found and we are down to a few players. For instance, if we found 1 scum in the group with less scum, all remaining players in that group would be cleared.
I like this. Good work.
Using it as a cop have a big chance to return an inno that will just be next Mafia kill. Maybe it works if QA is alive until the end.
